I prefer Windows. Altho Ive worked with Macs alot during my education I never found them very appealing, often clumbsy and restrictive for my taste and needs, the Mac OS's does have thier fair share of good points, but for my needs, and wantings they were utterly useless to me.

Am I allowed to say both OSX and Windows? Because I'm pretty sure Mac and Windows is a PC.xXDrPainXxWindows comes in a whole load of different versions so it can run on anything from a 2tb RAM rack server to a portable sat nav unit. Apple also has it's XServe server line aswell as it's desktop line.
Yeah, I can't wait to see the look on Steve Jobs' face when he sees this thread!!1HAHAHAHAHA macs just got their butts handed to them XDDDDD

I like OSX but I would never pay more just for a Mac. I build my own desktops and buy cheap laptops. I use Ubuntu for everything but gaming, I have Win7 for that.
I like my Mac. OS X is a good operating system. It does what I need to do, I am however a basic user, surf the internet, e-mail, create videos, productivity work, edit photos of that sort-- not a gamer just on game consoles, so I ended up switching. I like a Mac for the fact that I don't really need to defrag it, or deal with any maintenance issues.
Windows though is more compatible, and can do a lot more. I guess it all depends on your preferences, and needs. But for me a Mac is just fine. It's a dual PC for me-- can run Windows, and Mac OS X.
I found OSX to be so boring and bland. So many basic options are hidden from the end user. Luckily I don't need Steve Job's holding my hands as a computer user. OSX is good for people like that though. It's stripped down and you can barely change anything. Safari does not support add-ons unlike Windows users who sometimes install ever single add-on that comes preloaded with apps. Then their browser becomes slow and bloated then they blame Microsoft.
