I think we should start buying from other countries likefrom European and North American. And ditch china altogetherif they cant take care of their products. Then the new suppling countries will make lots of money and provide more varitiy of products.

Now I'm not saying China makes the best products ever, but it's not that they make only crap, most of the stuff they export is ok, but there are a few bad seeds there that get blown out of proportion. Let's not forget the plethora of crap that America has made, and Mexico, and Europe.
I found a reason to use the word plethora.. awesome.
Its fact that almost all of your clothes are made in a Taiwanese sweatshop...how is that propaganda? If our president wasnt a war criminal he wouldnt allow for American companies to have sweatshops in 3rd world countries just so you can have you pretty boy abercrombie rags...i mean clothes....

Well I'm Canadian but I get the same stuff as America, if both our countries increased manufacturing jobs for all kids of products we wont needChina, andwe can trade with eachother make lots of money, open a few more factories then get Europe to ditch china build a few fatories in their countries(so america, canada and europe dont become one giant factory like china we should expand factories within each other).

You know it's not that easy, right? Even if we gathered enough capital to beat the China at production, it would be a lot more expensive.
Let me put this into perspective.. the goods are made on the other side of the world and they have to travel thousands of miles accross the ocean and onto a port were they are placed into trucks/trains then they are transported accross the US to the warehouse then they are sent to the retail shop and it's still cheaper than making the stuff here in the US.
If we wanted to beat China, we would have to lower the minimum wage, and eliminate all labor laws, including child labor laws. There's a lot of other stuff we have to change, like certain taxes, but it's too much to post here.
I think stopping business with China would be a pretty big hit on the economy on both fronts. I'm no expert on how the economy works but practically everything you see in stores is made in China, alot of compnaies would have to shut down factories and they would loose alot of money, some of the smaller companies would probably be at risk of bankruptcy. Opening a factory outside a place like China would probably cost them alot more money meaning the products would cost a lot more money. The factories would prbably just shift over to a place like Mexico or some other third world country. Heck, for all we know, the US might decide to build some factories in Iraq decided to make that their new China.
On China's side, all the factories would be shut down and alot of people would be put out of work. This would make their already high poverty levels even worse. The government might decide to step up and change things so it's similar to things over here but I really don't see that happening. It's all really a decision that no one can make, all people can do right now is keep the trade to China open.
