I remember Yu-Gi-Oh being a lot of fun to play, although I never did play a single game of Magic. So Yu-Gi-Oh gets my vote on that basis.
This topic missed by like five or six years. Any way I used to play a bit of yugi back in the day, as much as I hate to admit it, so I guess I pick that.
Never heard of magic. I collected yugioh but didnt play it in elementary school but pokemon was awesome as a kid
...Lol. I played Magic, but it was long after Yu-Gi--Oh for me. I still play both, but I don't play Magic much at all. I've been into Yu-Gi-Oh for over 8 years, so yeah.Yugioh, but I never tried magic though. Either way, I'm more of a Beyblade type of guy.

I'm not in primary school so I honestly don't care.

Funny how you like The Big Ban Theory if you are not in primary school.
Anyway, never played Magic, but Yu Gi Oh was fun to play every once in a while, but i always hated how random sometimes it was, letting little space to strategy.

same, i tried learning Magic, and it was just so confusing to me, so i didnt really bother continue trying to learn it
DBZ>>magic>>>pokemon>>>>>>>>>>>>>Yugioh Anybody else remember the dbz card game? berserker2389Uhm, no... And the Pokemon Card Game is meh. The games are way better. Dunno why someone would prefer the Pokemon card game to the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, honestly.

I learned it, I hate summoning sickness, it's kinda stupid. Other than that I like the card game, but I prefer Yu-Gi-Oh more. Especially since in Yu-Gi-Oh you can pull off some insane combos.Magic cards. Grew up with Yu Gi Oh bu it evntually faded away. Magic's still there and still strong. :)
For me, it's Magic. Here's why:
1. Back when I played Yugioh, you basically needed the best and rarest cards to win.
2. As with #1, having a good deck was quite expensive.
3. As with #1, I've heard lately that in Yugioh, a lot of the old good cards are now banned.
4. Magic has more flexibility. Vintage, standard, extended, legacy, EDH, etc, etc.
5. Magic was (don't know about now) cheaper.
6. Magic has been around longer, so theres more cards, sets, etc.
7. Magic lore was a thousand times better than Yugioh's.
[QUOTE="mrmusicman247"]I know I posted in a thread just like this before...Cloud_765Then why not give the same answer as last time? Because I can't remember what I said :P
yuGiOh is very simple and random, whereas Magic is not. I was actually a pro Magic player for awhile, so I guess Isay Magic.
I like both, but Magic is better in my opinion. I'm also really interested in the WoW TCG, but I don't know a single person who plays that or who wants to, so...
I've got to put my hand up for yi-gi-oh, it was my pre-teen card game... Though if you added pokemon on there? That would've been my choice right away :P Been playin that card game since I was 6 or something. Never really tried Magic, Gf used to play a bit so I'll see what I can learn
Edit: Oh lol and to anyone who's watched the first yu-gi-oh cartoons, I recommend watching the abridged version, filled with funny stuffz I guarantee :P
how can you stand that energy systemThough if you added pokemon on there? That would've been my choice right away :P

Tbqh I can't!!! Lawl it's just that it was nice collecting those really shiny nice cards, I still have a hell of a lot of them like Mewtwo, Mew, Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur etc etc (my cousin and little sister got shiny cards from Burger King too  that one ghost/dragon type pokemon, forgot the name but I hate the new pokemon games/cartoons, yellow version ftw!!!)

I second this. The abridged series is awesome, I've watched more episodes (every single one available actually) then I ever did with the real show.
I bet the vast majority of competitive players aren't either.I'm not in primary school so I honestly don't care.

What's wrong with the Big Bang Theory, that show is great. And to stay on topic, I never played Magic, so yeah I'm just gonna go with Beyblades.
