Male manicures. Weird?

Hey OT,

I was in the office yesterday and me a the guy's were talking about going to the spa (with our ladies of course) which led to a conversation about manicures.

Both of the guys i was talking to have both had manicures. I grew up in a house with me, my father and two brothers, im pretty sure the word manicure has never been used in my house.

What about the guys of OT. Have you ever had a manicure?

No, because I'm a real man, and real men spend all day fighting bears and attatching rockets to bumper cars. If we do have time to wash we do it as extreme as possible by only having the hot water on, exfoliating with a meat tenderiser and rinsing our hair with gorilla testosterone.

I've had a pedicure... and thought it was fantastic. I'd say a man is more manly and secure in his sexuality if he can get a mani/pedi without concerning himself how it will make him "look" to other men/women.

My favourite part was the foot/leg massage. For someone who spends a lot of time on his feet walking everywhere, it was incredibly relieving. I just wish they didn't cost so much.

it's weird. real men would rather get dirty than get a manicure :P

it sounds weird but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

a good foot massage and somebody cutting and or cleaning my toenails sounds good right about now. :P

I won't so far as to say it's weird, but it's definitely not for me.

Manicures and pedicures tend to be given by women, so....a man sits back and relaxes while a woman services him... and you're questioning his manhood? Was Caesar's manliness questioned when slavegirls fanned him with palm branches and fed him grapes?

I see no problem with it. It's relaxing and keeps your feet/hands cleaner. Once you actually start painting nails though....Then yeah, that's a bit weird to me.

I really don't care. Do I find it odd? Yes, but I do weirder things so im not one to judge :lol:.

Well, technically yes because my friends mom does it for a living and she wanted her mom to do it to me, but I was in grade eight or something like that.

I think it's out of the norm, but not really weird. Clean, trim nails are always nice to look at on anyone. Admiteddly however, I'm not so into a shiny gloss on a man's nails.

Im thinking about getting a pedicure. I see nothing wrong with it....
