seems like he didn't have any bad intentions with this, hopefully he doesn't get too harsh of a punishment. but if he does get 2 years, at least that isn't REALLY long.
A Swedish man has been arrested for illegally being in possession of radium, uranium and americium; in an attempt to split atoms in his kitchen. Reads first sentence of article....I can see the reason.LJS9502_basicI dont know about you, but I'd rather not handle uranium in my kitchen. Unless you want your hair falling out and your bone marrow rotting. :P

Yeah, this happens from time to time.
I personally prefer model trains and aeroplanes, but some people just resort to nuclear reactors when they get bored.
"It turns out he took some time to contact the authorities about his experiments, just to find out if his actions were legal or not. They were quick to respond by sending the police to arrest him and seize all possessions and materials related to his activities."
No common sense.
I'm almost positive exposing your neighbors to radiation violates some sort of law. As well as owning illegal substances. Which aren't made commonly available for a reason..What crime did he commit agian this is silly.

[QUOTE="EasyStreet"]I'm almost positive exposing your neighbors to radiation violates some sort of law. It didn't say how much of it he had or what grade it was. You can buy low grade isotopes online perfectly legally. Considering the picture it wouldn't have been enough to do any actual harm. What crime did he commit agian this is silly.

Look at all those cigarettes... I think radiation poisoning + smoker = 99% chance of cancer, right?
realguitarhero5
1% chance of superpowers, though :P
In a year? Do you think it'll be that quick?Mini-meltdown. That guy is going to be dead in a year from radiation sickness. No radaway for him.

Have you ever heard of a hydrogen bomb?let the man work, illegal substances my friggin ass, hes working with the most basic fabric in the universeBiancaDKlols, because playing with those basic fabrics have no ramifications whatsoever. Yeah, let the man work. In fact, we should ship out little science kits with uranium and such for the younger visionaries.
