This may be slightly controversial but I think the islamic communities have shot themselves in the foot with the way they handle media. Your average TV muslim is either a halfcrazed bigot or busy feeling offended by practically everything. This is by no means a good way to gauge the mindset of your average muslim but it does leave an imprint in every single non-muslim who is subject to media.
I think we need some muslim leaders to make a public response to terrorism. These silly book burners are'nt exactly the brightest people ever but that really just makes it all the more important than the muslim communities make a huge deal out of differentiating themselves from fantatics.
All this bigotry is wrong of course but as far as I'm concerned, islamic society could have done a better job of openly condemning their misguided children.
It took the west all of 10 minutes to blacklist us when a few of my countrymen drew some unfortunate cartoons and Islam desperately needs some front figures to harshly condemn terrorism, all for the sake of PR.

I get where you coming from, but It seems like the press only focus on the "bad" Muslims. The only time the press focus on muslims if a middle eastern country has suffered from a natural disaster. Every religion, or sect, will comprise of bad people, this alone has shown that there are some bad christians out there (well, the person who came up with this idea anyway). A person can also be muslim by name only, but do pretty much any other sinful guy does.
I honestly do wish something can speak out and make people understand the difference between terrorism and Islam. It seems press has corrupted the mind of many people, furthermore, books coming out thinking they can justify verses in the Quran as barbaric, its quite pointless.
