I can't believe this crap. They make it an ordinance that it's against the law to feed the homeless, as if they were like animals. You know the whole "Don't feed the monkeys" or "Don't feed the pigeons" signs. And then they put a guy on trial and waste tax payers money because he fed homeless people that were starving. Only in America.

:| wtf...what dumbasses made a law that says I can't give food to someone. Another stupid law/ordinance instead of tackling real issues.

Yeah, I saw your wanted picture on a milk carton. It said the reward is $2. I'll wait to turn you in when the reward goes up a little.

It's understandable that the law should be changed...but he did break the law.

It doesn't matter how stupid the law is, if you break it, you should get punished.

I never said it was a good law. But don't say that a person should be punished when they intentionally break a law. I could say that the law about breaking into cars and stealing things from rich people is ok, since they can just buy new stuff. I shouldn't be punished, right? Because I disagreed with the law, it doesn't apply to me?

Fight to change the law, but don't fight upholding the law.

Well that would be different because it's not a life or death situation when you steal from the rich.

When you give food that you own to the poor, you're saving a life and lives should always be saved regardless of what the law says.

They'd rather the Homeless starve to death on the street? Then they would have to pay the street cleaners extra to clean up all the corpses.

And yet they are kicked in the face in this way. Disgusting. Society is being damaged by things like this, and the government don't give a damn.

There are established charitable locations for the homeless to receive assistance...maybe the defendant should've volunteered his time there. Or would that not have garnered enough publicity?

So then go ahead and save someone's life. Just don't ***** and moan when you get in trouble for it.

Was saving a life worth getting in trouble for? If so, then stop complaining. And if saving a life was not worth getting in trouble for, you just plain don't have to do it.

You just can't feed them at the public park. But I doubt any of those people have invited them back to there house for food and shelter. Which is legal.

They need to organise food drop-off points around the park. >_>
