I was just watching an episode of Survivor. Much to my disgust. Not the point. Your accents. I've never heard so many different, horrible accents all at the same time. It was dreadful. How do you people speak like that!!!???

British accents are the most beautiful accents in the world and Australian accents vary, but they're a lot better than American accents. (Particularly texas. YICK!)I used to think that too but then I heard the British and Australian accents:P

Well thats funny because my wife and I were watching something on tv..be it a program or news something..AND I told her I hate the way they sound.."THEY" meaning French or whatever it was..I hate the way that people over seas sound for the most part. BUT I also hate the way we southerners sound and I try every time I talk to NOT sound "southern".
ALSO...dont put those people down that help support you and the whole world on a daily basis..:)
How can anyone say they hate the "American accent", or "British accent"? Seriously, there are many accents to both. Me being a Yorkshire lad, I love the Yorkshire, Glasgow, and Cockney accents, but I can't say I like the British accent cos there isnt a single British accent. Same for American accents, Im not a fan of Texas accent, but I won't say I don't like the American accent because of that! haha

"Occents"? "Tolme"? "Dreadfu"?
What British people have you been listening to? :?
You say you hate the American Accent? Just wait till you hear us!
People say my twinand I sound British, Texan, and even Chinese:? Note that we were born in Maryland, raised in Maryland, have never been to any southern state besides Virginia, no one in our family tree is Chinese, and like our past 5 or 6 generations have all lived in Maryland. Now I do have some british in me, if you go back far enough, but I dont have any chinese in me at all. Lol
I love the American accent, the deep south and the Texan one, infact I can switch between Australian and Texan accent anytime I want. And I'm not even American or true blue Auzzie.
Well Im from Norway so I am neutral here :)
I prefer listening to the american accent, its much more clear and easy to understand. It also feels like every word spoken with an american accent is s"stronger" or have more powerful phonetic impact lol I dont know how to explain it, but my point is, I prefer the american accent or should I say accents :)
Well I honestly don't care how it sounds when someone speaks. It's what they're saying that's important.
Saying that you hate british accents or american accents makes you look silly, there are so many different british and american accents that you couldn't possibly hate them all. When i lived in Britain i could drive 20 miles up the road and hear a completley different accent, im sure it's the same in America. I find your post offensive TC and im not even American. You should at least tell us why you hate ALL the american accents.
'cause they sound godawful. But It's really only the really strong ones like the southern ones that piss me off. Others I can tolerateSaying that you hate british accents or american accents makes you look silly, there are so many different british and american accents that you couldn't possibly hate them all. They piss you off? I know a lot of people who talk like that, and their great people. That's really not fair to say that.

The uk doesnt as well. its pretty much the same
if you multiplied the uk several times over(land and population) sure they would be comparable in diversityI was just watching an episode of Survivor. Much to my disgust. Not the point. Your accents.
