I'm currently watching a MASH marathon. I don't know what it is about this show, but I keep coming back to it after all these years. The humor is just as good as ever and it's anti war messages seem as relevant today as in the 70's. Do you watch the show? What do you think of it?

When I was younger, the image of the helicopter in the intro piqued my interest in the show, but when the music started playing I was turned off. When I grew older and found out that the name of the song was, "Suicide is Painless" I thought I'd give it a try. It's a great show. I still laugh at some parts despite the fact that others may find the show, and thus the humor, quite dated. I think the series finale of that show still has the record for the most views. That doesn't happen by accident.

It's a classic, still love it when I see it, and the final episode is one of the most depressing things I've ever seen.

MASH is timeless. The difference is the humour is intellectually sound, the humanitarian sentiment is always prevalent, and the acting top-notch. There is a reason why PBS picked up Alan Alda for documentaries. Alda is a smart, charming, and socially-aware dude.

I bought the Mash: Martinis & Medicine Collection a while back.

I got it for $150 instead of $200, which was nice. I also bought most of Seinfeld, Firefly, Aeon Flux, and a few other shows at the time. I think.

Anyway, the show is amazing.

I love that show! I've seen every episode, and it's one of those shows I can watch reruns of and still enjoy.

Yep love it, great cast, great acting and great humour. Not so keen on the Alan alda directed episodes in the later seasons'.. they were a bit serious and preachy for a sitcom.

Only the first three seasons were good. Then they started losing people and changing personalities and became waaay too preachy. Hate the seasons after the first three though Charles was an okay character.

Too bad the series didn't stay true to the movie.
