I was strolling around the city where I hear alot of people bothering me with the May 21 Judgement day crap.

What is exactly supposed to happen May 21? And why is it before December 21, 2012? (Doomsday wise)

Its some christian cult made by this guy who predicts the world is going to end every few years and writes a book about it every time. First it was 1988, then 1994, then 2002 and now it's 2011. He's obviously just doing it for the money and attention.

edit: Actually I have to correct myself, I was combining two different people, the first two predictions were by Edgar Whisenant, and also the second and 4th by Harold Camping. I'm not sure who the 2002 one was, but I do remember the same thing being said when I was in 7th grade, so 2002 or possibly 2003.

Slightly off topic

An interesting story, back in the days when Abraham was spoken this god thing, god told him to go to the land of Canan AKA Israel.

Reason is that at the time, Egypt was the superpower, and every other nations around Europe that want to trade with Egypt needed to go through Israel. So if the Jews move to Israel, they can charge taxes to the traders that go through, so they can be rich and wealthy, this was supposely God's plan. This is probably why the Jews got the stereotype of being greedy for money.

an 89 year old fundamentalist christian convinced people he mathematically determined when the world would end. I have heard some of his followers actually sold their houses and property before starting a tour across the country in armageddon themed mobile homes. this man was mistaken in 1994 when he predicted the end of the world, and says he misinterpreted the bible. if anyone brings that up to him today, he gets pissed and says he is absolutely right, that what he has predicted is the absolute truth, and that he can't be wrong.

Most definitely not, but I hope so anyway. Just look at the bright side of doomsday: no more doomsday prophecies.

So we have this doomsday and december 21,2012 to look forward too. I can't wait!

Considering I'm getting a small vacation that day I'd hope not.

I love how the "7 signs of the apocolypse" are all things that are almost constantly going on.

I guess they want the world to end before summer.

Because honestly, who wants to die and be sunburnt?

Just so there are no surprises I consider everyday to be a potential Doomsday.

Some Idiot named Harold coming says the world will end on may 21st according to the bible. But there is no way the amount of stuff that is supposed to happen will, in that short amount of time.
