And to the guy in the other topic who asked me why some people refuse to say Merry Christmas. . .

Because some people are so filled with hatred, they don't want to admit there's a federal holiday called Christmas.

These people are militant atheists.

Just like the kkk who are militant racists - they refuse to recognize the federal holiday called Martin Luther King Day.

Same thing.

Hopefully these people will get over their hate, and join the rest of us one day.

Calm down, man...it's called being inclusive...there's quite a few different holidays that are celebrated around Christmas time that are just as important so why do you decide to exclude everyone who doesn't celebrate YOUR holiday by saying Merry Christmas and yet accuse others of not mentioning your choice of holiday? How about Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Yule, Yalda, hell, even Saturnalia...why is Christmas so much more important than all other celebrations that everyone needs to acknowledge it and no other?

Why do you assume that they are talking about Christmas and not the holiday season? Not everything revolves around you.

So, why is it that everyone always says, "merry Christmas"? Why is it never "happy Christmas?"

I mean, especially considering that Christmas is pretty much the only time I ever hear anyone saying the word "merry". If you say "merry Thanksgiving" or "merry birthday", people will think that you're a freaking weirdo. But for some reason, Christmas apparently requires everyone to say "MERRY Christmas", even though that's the only time in the entire year that they ever use that word.
