i agree, although my favourite song is fade to black by far..."one" is way up on my list though
i think their first album was great, but a bit too...i duno, immature? the second and third albums were amazingly good, 4th was amazing, but different, 5th was ok, had a few good songs, a few not so good, and from then onwards it all went t!ts up

**** YEAH Orion! And Damage, Inc. and My Friend of Misery and Master of Puppets and Nothing Else Matters etc. All great songs but their new stuff is just.. terrible. Oh well. And I forgot to mention Sad But True.. :x
Master of Puppets, Orion, Fade to Black, And Justice for All, Of Wolf and Man, The Unforgiven, Nothing Else Matters, Blackened are all amazing songs. One is "ok" but kinda overplayed.
I love Metallica. Favourite song, has to be Orion or something from Ride The Lightning. I agree about the new sutff, St Anger was supremely terrible. The new album is supposed to be going back to how they used to be. Kirk Hammet said that it was somewhere between Kill 'Em All and The Black Album, and theres going to be solos! He said it may be released in September. I dont know if it will be good or bad though, I think it'll be either really good or somewhere in the middle. I suppose you cant get worse than St Anger:P Im optimistic about the new one though, I think theyll be back on form with it.:D
I like them.I liked them best when Dave Mustaine was still with them ... My favourite album would be Ride The Lightning , and my favourite songs by them would include : One , Enter Sandman , Master of Puppets , Ride The Lightning , and Phantom Lord.

Yes I love Metallica as musicians. As people, well, theyre pretty lame the only "good" people have been the bassists lol.
Dont really have a single favorite, theyre all great songs.
My favorites though are Sandman, King Nothing, One, Breadfan...I am a big fan of the Garage album. Overkill has to be one of the greatest pumpup songs in the history of humankind.
Yeah, Metallica's awesome. I have too many favourite songs to list. For Whom The Bell Tolls, Ride The Lightning, Fade To Black, Battery, Damage Inc., Master of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), One, Nothing Else Matters. I love it:D

You know how Metallica can return to form?....Have Dave Mustaine write some more songs for them.
Oldest Metallica (kill em all) > Older Metallica (AJFA, MOP, RTL, can have S/T)> New Metallica (new CD [the two new songs are good], st. anger)> Middle Metallica (load/reload, can also have S/T)
Can't beat the first Four albums. Unlike most people I can also stand the later stuff. Not as good as when they were playing thrash but good none the less. Favourite songs are probably Creeping Death, Escape, Blackened, Whiplash, Motorbreath, Ride the lightning and Call of Ktulu...Probably my faves...Prefer Testament though heh ^ ^
