Ok, I'll discuss. You linked trash. Time to go back a few years and check out what they were doing in the mid-late 80's.
Come back and let me know what you've discovered.
Edit: Oh, I see you posted Blackened and FWTBT. Good.

NO UI will. Thanks.
Ride the Lightening (album) is pretty rad, that's more or less all I listen to from them. They're over hyped, but not a bad band.

I don't know, what they wrote was more musically interesting than most of the other thrash metal bands that were doing straight forward stuff. A lot of the pre-Black Album Metallica stuff was damn near prog metal at times.
I don't listen to metal or rock, or any one of the variations very often, but Metallica is one of my favs.
But didn't they sue their fans for illegally downloading? Thats some queer sh**
Great, good, crap and more recently, OK. These are better

Why are these better, exactly?
The only "good" Metallica is Kill 'Em All Metallica, and Dave Mustaine is a better guitarist than both James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.

I thought they were cool until I watched that documentary about them. What a buncha whiners. The drummer seems to be the only normal one of the bunch. All the other guys were self obsessed prima donna's who seemed like they'd break down and cry if anyone looked at them the wrong way.
The first four albums are great.
Black album is good.
The loads are horrible.
St. Anger and beyond are embarrassing.
Pirate700
King Nothing was a good track :P

Hah. If anything Lars Ulrich is the biggest primadonna of the bunch.
[QUOTE="rockguy92"]Only care for Lightning.ArmoredCore55No love for Kill 'Em All? :( I like Kill 'Em as well, but when I listen to Metallica, I only reach for Lightning. Kill is still a good album though. However, I seriously don't listen to anything from them outside of these 2 albums.

MOP and AJFA is good, too, but Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lighting are their only 2 underrated albums.

With all due respect, those tracks sound pretty rancid to me, especially in comparison to Enter Sandman. But that's just my opinion. Different strokes and all that.

 Exactly what I was thinking.
Anyway, although I don't listen to them anywhere near as much anymore, I do still like them. They're a great band for learning tabs to. And I shall contribute a few songs as well.

I was gonna say yes, but you seem to be a little late. Metallica was the sh!t in the 80s.
