Metallica... Nay or Yay!

So metallica is up to it's old tricks again I was reading.

Will people keep buying the albums or have they been mostly forgotten by the fans?

Metallica was a great band.

Ever since the first Napster fiasco they've proven their money grubbing whore status, and all their newer music has paled in comparison to the old stuff.

My opinion about Metallica is that it was a great band but James Hetfield has become gay since he has cutten his hair. The friend of mine who is also here has a different opinion though. He thinks that Metallica is still great and James Hetfield is his hero. Which makes him gay.

I don't like Metallica.

Even when I was into metal, I didn't like them.

Metallica has never been any good, and the closest they've ever been is Kill Em All. Since their first recort release, they have only been heading down hill. Metallica is one of the worst thrash metal bands on the planet, and if you disagree you have absolutely no taste. /threadConformestClone

I never made that claim but it doesn't take a degree in music theory to know when a band has no musical integrity.

I never saw it that way. O_o Please, allow me to go burn all my Metallica albums! I must never defy the authority again!

They used to be alright; the only album is really like is S&M, the live one they did with the SF Symphony Orchestra.

The string/brass/woodwind parts really added to their material.

Hallmark moment (during the Napster ordeal):

Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield saying "We have kids to feed" in a VH1 interview outside of Lar's mansion.

I don't know. I still refuse to believe that St. Anger was really Metallica. It had to be a prank or a sick joke.

Anyways, Rock Sound and Hammer both said it sounds kind of like "...And Justice for All" which would be amazing.
