That song is actually what got me into Metallica, lol.

Megadeth. Without Dave Mustaine, Metallica never would have gotten so big. Besides, Megadeth is just better. They didn't sell out like Metallica.

Oh yeah and its The Mechanix, NOT The Four Horsemen.

I prefer Metallica, their three albums are good, the rest sucks of course.

Definitely Metallica for me. I think Kirk Hammett is a much more talented guitar player than Mustaine and I really have never cared for Mustaine's vocals.

Based on talent, I'd say Megadeth because Mustaine is vastly superior to Hammett in my opinion.

Based on how the music sounds, I'd say they're tied. They're very different musically, though.

In the end I say Megadeth. Songs like "Peace Sells", "A Tout Le Monde", "Trust", "Good Morning/Black Friday" and others can't be denied as purely amazing.

Metallica hands down, Megadeath is just 2nd rate metallica rip off. I mean the dude is ex-metallica, that cat just didnt cut itpancreasjuice

I want to punch you in the face. seriously. mustaine wrote most of the guitar in kill em' all. therefore 1 out of 3 of metallica's best albums was heavily influenced by mustaine. plus, megadeth is way more technical than metallica. most metallica songs can be learned fairly easy. i dare you to learn a megadeth song....yet alone sing lead vocals while playing it.

Now I wont to punch you in the face. Munstaine wrote SOME LEAD GUITAR riffs but he definantly did not write MOST GUITAR in the album. 1 out of 3? ...And Justice for All and The Black Album are superior to most MegaDeth albums. You try learning Disposable Hero's or Dyers Eve, see how easy that is. James has to play rhythem guitar and vocals as well, there is no difference to Munstaine, he doesnt do vocals during a solo.

Anyway the obvious answer to this is Metallica

There is a clear and obvious reason why they are/were the most popular and most worsphiped metal band, simply because they were better than anyone else. Except maybe Slayer :P

This is a good topic that has been debated for years. I like old Metallica up to the black cd, I like most Megadeth even the new stuff. I like Metallica, but Megadeth kept making good music and didn't seem to sell out.

The Slayer reference was a joke hence the :P but I do actaully listen to Slayer. On a songwriting and vocals level though they are not fantastic

I agree that Mustaine wrote some , but not most of the guitar for Kill Em All.

And apologies , never knew it was a joke.But my freind used to listen to them years ago and I had real trouble liking or even understanding them :? ... of course , that was before I was into any metal at all.
