Someone complained that the Transformers live action movies were more about the humans than the robots which I do agree with that. I did like the cartoons but they also revolved around a couple of kids in the midst of a conflict.
First one was definitely good though. Second and third were "meh."
i love the Transformer trilogy.
i could watch them over and over and not get tired of them.
konvikt_17
I didn't say i hate them or anything,i just think they were executed the WRONG way.
In more than one ways.
The animation and design was amazing.
But plots, acting, and inclusion,or non-inclusion of certain TF characters were really, really bad.
Oh,and those horrible,horrible jokes.

i quite liked the bad jokes:P
though i kinda hated how they tried to personify the robots. adding red oil and such, to look like blood in the later movies just didnt look right.

Wtf??? do you have the humour sense of an 8 year old?
W.e.
And yeah,to me,Energon is blue.

It's giant robots blowing shi t up. If you expected more, I'm sorry.JustPlainLucas
The movies would have been infinitely better if not every single line of dialogue said by a human character was a poor joke.
It also would have helped if the designers of the decepticons made it possible to differentiate between them and for the editors of the film to actually know how to edit an action scene so the audience can visually grasp what the **** is happening.
The animated transformers movie that was released decades ago far surpasses any of the Michael Bay attempts.

Alien robots come to earth to wage war and threaten mankind.
Humans make jokes for two and a half hours.
Yeah, that works.

I watched the original cartoon series, and i've seen the Transformers cartoon movie where they killed off Optimus and Megatron for new hero and villains *AHEM* i mean new toys. (there is a statute limitation on spoilers folks...). There really isn't a really in depth or mature portrayal to be had. That said, i do feel you could just as easily - and more truthefully - call the trilogy Sam Witwicky AND the Transformers, since Shia's character seems to hog so much of the screen time.

This basically.
They ruin the movie.realise that already!
I think it's one of the most disappointing trilogies ever considering that it's Transformers, I thought the 1st and 3rd were mediocre while the 2nd one is horrible.

THANK YOU.
They are just so horribly executed, and very commercial, marketed to kids to sell toys.
>_>
someone should make a documentary about konvikt it would be unbearably sadWolfattheDoor34
I support this notion.
someone make a movie about my boring life!
I liked the franchise as a whole, but the second movie was the worst offender.
It's hard to not like it: explosions, robots and eyebrows. What more can you want?
MB doesn't believe in good stories.

From the looks of things, you sound like you're 12...

I actually loved the 2nd movie. I enjoyed the twist. I'm a sucker for those kinda plots. Worst was the first for me plot-wise. Too barebones (For the trilogy to gain momentum, I'm guessing).

Well good for you,but that DOESN'T mean it's a well-made movie.
Realise that just cause you,and several others enjoy it,doesn't mean it's executed the right way.
So don't talk to me about manners, and lighten up,i didn't insult anyone.
In this thread,atleast.

GS is 95% sarcastic. Shame on you for not realizing that. And those tattooed eyebrows stood out. At least I think they were since they were dark than they should be. >.>GS is 95% sarcastic. -_- haha, you're sooo funny.
Grow up.
Honestly, via The Hub I've watched origional G1 Transformers episodes.... they aren't much better.
Hell, if it was not for Bay's bull**** (sexism,Wiki's character, & questionable racism) I would say Bay formers was better, but again the original had some heart to it. And heart beats Megan Fox's @$$ shots
I took my nephews to see the first two. During the fights scenes I had trouble telling what the hell I was looking at. Random, blurry machine parts all over the screen and a shaky cam just don't come across very clearly to me.
That's actually the main reason why I never even watched any of those movies. The trailers actually seemed cool enough, but I just thought the robots look like a mess. They need simplified designs or better directing of action scenes or something. Because every time I watched the trailers, I just got a sense that it was hard to tell what was going on. Those didn't look like robots, they looked like moving piles of garbage. They looked like what happens when a tornado blows through a junkyard and just mashes a bunch of trash together. I'm not even a Michael Bay hater, and I don't even have a big problem with big dumb action movies. I simply avoided those movies because the trailers literally made them look like fast moving piles of trash. The movies might be great, but that's sort of a turnoff and it was enough to kill my interest in the movies.I took my nephews to see the first two. I never joined the bandwagon on this one. Even though I watched the original transformers when I was a kid, I loved the spin Bay put on the movies.
While not the best movies, they are by no means bad movies. It's mostly just people claiming they don't live up to nostalgic standards. I call this the Skyrim effect: Even though Skyrim is an amazing game, people claim it's terrible because it's not as extensive as Morrowind and Oblivion. Even though the Michael Bay Transformers are entertaining and a decent watch, people will put them up with some of the worst movies ever made.
Personally, I feel sort of that way about Michael Bay movies in general. I mean, I certainly wouldn't say that they're good movies. But they're rarely if ever intended to be anything more than flashy and trashy over-the-top popcorn movies. For what they are, he does that kind of movie better than most directors.I never joined the bandwagon on this one. Yeah, he's certainly no James Cameron or Peter Jackson, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his movies.
I don't know man, these movies do everything wrong except for action, special effects and music. Note that the 1st 2 are done wrong in areas as well.I never joined the bandwagon on this one. Even though I watched the original transformers when I was a kid, I loved the spin Bay put on the movies.

Story, characters, pacing, acting, humor, dialog, etc. are all a huge fail in this franchise.
BTW the 2nd movie is one of the worst movies ever made, it's bottom of the barrel trash.
