I have no reason to believe that this is illegitimate. I can't imagine why he would want to claim that he got cancer from an STD if it were not true. Smoking has become something largely berated and looked down upon, yes, but not anywhere near as much as the contraction of an STD.

Now whether the contraction was from mouth to vagina that is another story.

I think I already said it wasn't... which was the overall point of my post. I just chose to end it on a passive questioning of the gender of the contributing partner.
