They're probably just going to have other people attempt to sing his songs, or even worse, do lame remixes of them.

I tried to find out who was gonna be on it but I didn't see much on what I looked at besides Usher and Beyonce. I saw something about Lil Wayne being on..and thats not cool.
But anyways...you know any other artists that are gonna be on tonight? I'd love to see Stevie do a tribute. Dude is on there like every year. I saw ?uestlove Twitterin about a MJ tribute but I have absolutely no idea if it was going to be part of these awards or not.
From what I understand: Keri Hilson Monica Drake Keyshia Cole Fabolous Ne-Yo Maxwell Soulja Boy Mary Mary Beyonce Jay-Z Young Jeezy Kanye West I don't know if there's anyone I'm missing. But anyways...you know any other artists that are gonna be on tonight? Really good show overall, especially considering how many changes they had to make in such short notice.[QUOTE="Reach01"]lol Drake.. that guy used to be on Degrassi. Is it true Souljaboy and all those goons came out with their pants to their ankles? I mean, I have no problem with rap artist and what they wear, but if they came inappropriate to pay tribute, then they shouldnt have come at all. I already seen what Beyonce was wearing, damn, was that appropriate for this time? I also hear Jamie Fox is wack, trying to be funny and trying to do his moves. I dont have cable, how was it? Tjeremiah1988
Wow. All of that and you didn't even watch the damn show. GTFO. I don't like rap now days either, more so the portrayal. But I guess every gen has gone through this. My Grandparents must have hated that "god awful" LL Cool J, Rakiem and Salt n Pepa my parents listened to, and I'm sure the same happened to my parent's parents.
Anyway the show actually was respectful. It had many surprises. I guess you might not have liked it if you're like 12 and didn't know anyone but Soulja Boy or don't know crap about black culture like who the OJs were.
The only part I cringed at was the Drake/Lil Wayne portion. Not because of the rap but because of the amount that slipped past he censors. People here like it so I am not saying it was bad or anything. You have to keep in mind it was PLANNED as a BET Award show first, then Michael Jackson tribute 3 days before the show was scheduled live.
Those guys are the face of rap now so like it or don't. There are other options like you could watch MTV and watch Eminem lick some guy's buttcrack.. or give a award to a drunk/high/all of the above Amy Winehouse. Don't act like Rap or BET are the only one putting crap out in the media.

It happens every generation, along with the styles changing. Calm down. I heard, I wanted it to be confirmed... Hopefully it would be put up on the internets.

Are you about to cry? I mean seriously. Yes, I am aware of the OJs and I just seen their slip up on YT, lol. I understand the ones that are there are the face of rap of today, I get that. Just that, from what I heard, I did not state anything as fact, is that most came in dress like a goon to pay their respects to MJ. I dont care if many here liked the show, thats good for them. Why mention it? I also just seen Jay-Zs performance, it was tight. Also why mention the crap that is MTV awards? What does that have to do with what saying? We all know BET is also going down the tubes aswell. I just feel with his MJ pops in the front row, along with Al Sharpton, more pleasent respect should of been brought in (heard Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie ,Patti Labell, Maya Angelou and Harry Belafonte were there), I know it was planed for months, but scrap the crap out of the show for this one night. No one wants to hear Hurrican Chris
