And that is why she hasn't been aiming any real fire at him.

I guess Bachmann does live in her own little world, but what reason would Romney have for picking her? One of the things that Romney has going for him is credibility. I doubt he would destroy that by putting Bachmann of all people on the ticket. If he wants to balance out the ticket with somebody who can attract conservative/Tea Party support, he can do that without resorting to Bachmann.

Also, I heard Bachmann is a nightmare to work with, so I don't think he'd want to bring those kind of headaches on his campaign.

Do you think Bachmann is delusional as I do or do you think she actually has a legit shot at the VP spot?

That means Michelle Bachmann would be a step away from the presidency. Her incompetence is frightening as it is.

If Mitt Romney chose Michelle Bachmann as his VP, I would not vote for him.

Indeed, but I doubt he'd pick her. There's literally no reason to.

If he agrees he can kiss the presidency goodbye, though I highly doubt he will accept her offer.

If Romney wants to win the election, picking Bachmann is a pretty bad way of going about it. :P

I would have never thought anyone would pick Sarah Palin as a running mate, so I wouldn't rule anything out :PMichBelle

Yeah. Not to mention that this election cycle has been really weird.

John McCain is pretty erratic and reckless tho. And he was desperate. Romney seems way too calculating to make a move like that.

That's a good point. Romney just isn't the maverick McCain was :(

The 2008 election actually made me hate that word.

He won't give her the time of day, much less let her be his VP. Romney knows he has a very, very good chance to beat Obama and that chance will get flushed down the toilet if she runs with him.

you mentioned that she hasn't been taking any shots at Romney. maybe she realized she had slim chances of winning the nomination in the first place, and since it's still looking that way, she wants to get the next best thing.

McCain wanted the women vote and was despearate to get it...he just didn't evaluate her well enough as she is a bit out there and she doesn't exactly have the knowledge for the job...let's just keep it at that

The only person within the current field of GOP candidates who would make a great VP is John Huntsman.

That would be incredibly foolish of him. After winning the nomination, he would need to move further to the center and not further to the right. It's not like Bachmann's supporters are going to vote for Obama.

No, but they may choose to not vote at all. Much of the Tea Party crowd sees Romney as very similar to Obama (not that the comparison is unwarranted).

That could be true, but picking somebody like Bachmann as VP could have an even bigger negative impact of scaring off moderate independents (such as myself).

Agreed. The Republican party really backed themselves into a corner when they started catering to the more extreme members of their constituency.

I'm in favor of this since it could turn out like McCain and Palin back in 2008.

depite your feeling on Romney, it's evident enough that he calculates his moves carefully and shouldn't be stupid enough to select her as VP...even if it wasn't Bachmann who knows nothing and has been caught lying alot, nobody wants a radical as their VP and they only shift off center to get nomination...not when they are in the general election

Romney/Bachmann. I just want to see that happen. Wait.. no. I want to see a Gingrich/Cain President/Vice President combination. "Vote Gingrich/Cain, yay for ditching women to be with other women !"
