Here and here.
Dick move.
Thoughts?

I had respect for Microsoft for not doing dick advertisements like Apple, and then I saw this...The ironic part is that it is an anti-Google video, on Youtube :|
The first ad is funny because it's kind of true.
Google launches "revolutionary new experiences" that promptly fall flat on their faces.

They are totally spot on about G-Mail too.
But I still use it because it's ironically easier to configure Gmail on Microsoft Outlook than Hotmail ಠ\_ಠ
I could care less if two multi-billion dollar corporations want to go at each other. Not sure why you guys are getting all upset about it.
Oh god, it's terrible that a company is competition with another company. How disgraceful.
Oh I forgot, this is OT, competition is an evil capitalist invention.

Smells like desperation to me.
I finally got an iPod and think its amazing - can't remember when Microsoft did anything that I thought was amazing.

An iPod is amazing?
World ending on 21/12/12 officially confirmed.
It is amazing, without the ipod digital media players wouldn't 'exist' to the masses.[QUOTE="N30F3N1X"][QUOTE="d_parker"]

[QUOTE="NiKva"]Microsoft is realizing that it's monopoly is nearing it's end.FUBAR24what does microsoft have a monopoly on? last time i checked there are alternatives to all of microsoft products
One's only(legally) avalible for a specific, over priced product brand.
The other not backed by any major company.
Microsoft has no serious OS competition, yet.
Ok the email thing is true, but I have adblock so it doesn't apply to me. MSN spams my inbox, google doesn't.
IE is terrible and will always be. Google chrome ftw.
Microsoft should just stick to video games.
The commercial looks like an adultswim advertisement. You would think if they were serious about attacking their competitor they would at least invest more than $100 on the 3 actors that played their part.
"What do you mean your software isn't 100% compatible with one of your biggest competitors?!"
-_-
I like both Google and Microsoft products. They both have their uses and functions and I don't see it changing anytime soon.
competition is good...and something MS is never going to like thus resorting to slander cause they are getting whooped on some fronts they had a ballgrip control on.

Which would those be? Open Office is free and a great alternative to Office. I'd say Ubuntu/Linux is a serious competitor in the OS department, and free. The choices are there people just dont look.[QUOTE="dercoo"]

It still only has a really small percentage of market share compared to Windows, in terms of functionality most people would get along fine with Linux especially the newer Ubuntu builds. The newer builds are making Linux more user friendly, but most people buy pre built and they always come with Windows, so I doubt the total dominance of Windows will end any time soon. The biggest threat to Microsoft market share right now is in the browser market, internet explorer is going down. Unless IE10 does some major changes to compete or beat Chrome/Firefox with features the general person will want, I think they will continue to eat into Microsofts current dominance. Office and Windows are nowhere near being threatened. Why is people surprised by this? MS is by far the company that uses more FUD campaigns than any other and they have been doing this since the 80s. They did it with java, free software, Linux, etc. Microsoft invests more money spreading crap and trying to undermine their competition than actually building quality products. I still can't understand how people defend this monopolistic company.kuraimen
