Microsoft offers Windows 7 to students for $30!

I thought some of you might get a kick out of this. The new OS (Windows 7) is discounted to $30 for College & University students in the UK & the US (original retail price is around $119.99). It seems you get a choice between Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional. There is only one catch. You have to have a .edu email & have to currently attend school with a certain amount of credits. Hope you guys enjoy it! Link below!

Care to let us in on how you got Windows 7 for free from Microsoft? If you can't because of confidentially reasons, no biggie. You must be an employee or must be part of the MSDN Academic Alliance (MSDNAA). When I used to live on the Mainland, I had a neighbor who worked at Microsoft & he always got all the software for free & way before it was available in stores. It was pretty cool to see all the new software before it was available to the consumer. I just wish I had a decent rig at the time to snag some of his softwares but oh well.

The university I go has some student software scheme going where I got Vista and XP for free so hopefully I can get Windows 7 free of that.

Just checked the site and I can download it for free :) The only good thing my Uni has ever done for me.

Great deal, though I already managed to get my copy of Windows 7. Seems like there's nothing but positive press for MS's new OS.

Edit: Looking at the list, I'm not sure what exactly qualifies a school for the discount. They don't list Harvard/Princeton or really any big name college but they have the Utah College of Massage Therapy?

Edit Again: I should try reading. The list only applies to schools that do not provide .EDU email addresses.
