did anyone feel that early this morning? that thing scared the mess out of me, this was the first time i had ever experienced an earthquake. thankfully it caused no damage here, but when i was at school we all felt 2 aftershocks, it was all pretty funny. i think it clocked as a 5.2 on the scale, but it felt pretty neat

It woke me up, and was like, "What?"

Then, I went right back to sleep not knowing what to think of it. When I finally woke up, all of posters were on the floor. I was like, woah it was an earthquake.

I felt it all the way in Ohio. But it didn't last for too long. More like a shudder than anything else.

I've felt a lot of quakes as well being from Alaska. When they happen at night I always just sleep right through them.

I live in pretty much dead-center Missouri, but didn't feel it. I know it woke my parents in St. Louis, though.

I think they said it lasted around 32 seconds here in Indy. 5.2 on the scale, I believe.

Yep, woke me up at 4:37(estimate) in the morning. My house shook for 10-15 seconds. I was like "Oh, earthquake. Awesome, time to go see my mom freak out."

It's pretty strange to have an earthquake in the midwest, but being now living in San Diego, I feel them all the time.

Something that never happened when I was back in Chicago.

I live about 200 miles from the quake. It just sounded like a basy car stereo, and made my bed shake a bit. It didn't last that long, and didn't even move anything around. Nothing like in the movies.

Ya. I was in my bed at 4:30, sleeping. I first felt my bed shaking and thought to myself that I was freezing/had the flu. Then, I heard the window rumble, and thought it was a thunderstorm. I went back to sleep. Then around 11 am, the aftershock came, and shook my desk at school.

Now, the state of IL will practice earthquake drills. -.-
