I'll probably check it out when it's on Netflix in a few weeks.

Yeah best film of the year thus far and Wes Anderson's best, easily. I don't see anything topping it for me.

In terms of theatre experiences, sure. Overall films? Don't know. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of my favourite films of all-time but those were 10+ years ago and I'm not sure PJ even has that skill left in him.

As for Dark Knight Rises, I'm a big reader of Batman comics but I haven't been jumping for joy for the Nolan movies. They're just "okay" to me in the sense that I only watch them once and never have the desire to ever again.

The Grandmasters
The Master
Django Unchained

No trailers

Haven't really seen many movies from this year so I cannot really compare.

But Moonrise Kingdom was really a good film.

Feel pretty much the same way. I've hated just about everything he's done since Rushmore, personally. I'll probably rent it when it's in Redbox though.

I thought Royal Tenenbaums had more heart than Moonrise:?

Also you've never struck me as a fan of films that are both quirky and silly. Not to mention you dislike all coming of age films that don't have subtitles :P

The Darjeeling Limited had more heart than Tenenbaums.

Sounds like it caters to my taste. At least it's something. This has been a lackluster year for film.

Other than Bill Murray, Gene Hackman and Angelica Huston are the most talented actors/actresses to appear in a Wes Anderson flick.

Well it is from the same director as Fantastic Mr. Fox. I've been wanting to see it since I heard about it back in May. Haven't gotten around to it yet though.
