Very few people in England are actually practicing Christians. I don't know anyone that actually goes to church.

I think that would be the biggest slap to their face. Instead of helping them with food, water clothes and such, you want us to give them books and essentially say " If you're nice and pray then maybe food will appear infront of you."

While I am a Christian, I somewhat agree here. In Africa survival is quite often the main priority. A Bible doesn't do much good to someone who is starving to death. Also, historic Christianity is spreading rapidly throughout that continent. They know more than Americans do about the triune God and do not have near the resources. The Christians there are currently in an infralapsarian v. supralapsarian debate. Most Christians do not even know what that means.

thanks to Christianity in Africa, condoms have been greatly discouraged which has helped progress the spread of HIV, costing millions of lives. literal witch hunts still occur in africa, thanks to biblical teachings. every year thousands of people are killed, many of them burned alive for being supposed witches and many of them include children. thanks to Christian influence, most african nations are vehemently homophobic, many of them (and perhaps soon to be Uganda) prescribe death to gay people. and taking into consideration all the churches that have been erected in both villages and more populous areas in africa, imagine if that effort and resources had instead gone into making better roads, schools, and shelters. africa needs more bibles like it needs more malaria infected mosquitoes. but I get the impression the OP is trolling anyway
