I've been told that there are more females than males, but according to the CIA World Factbook, there are more males.

More boys are born than girls, but girls are more likely to live through childhood. Women also live longer.

Females are more...genetically complete, than males. All other variables controlled, a mother is more likely to carry a female baby to term than a male (I'm talking about the whole process from zygote to fetus). It's also why a lot of diseases and defects are male-only (like color-blindness). And I'm NOT saying females are superior or whatever someone will misread what I'm saying, it's just that females are easier to carry to term.

In America, females definitely outnumber males (we just naturally live longer), so I'm wondering if the worldwide ratio is skewed by countries that have a really high mortality rate.

I dont see how there could possibly be more males than feemales. Males are the ones dying earlier and getting killed in combat and what not.

this is a picture of male to female ratio. blue is good (i.e. more females). so if you need a women you should head to russia or eastern europe.

I don't believe there are more males than females. More men die everyday than females i mean look at the wars just think of how many wars are going on around the world right now and i have never ever seen a female foot soldier.
