Morgan Freeman Or Brad Pitt? who do you think is the better actor?

Not sure... As awesome as he is, I kind of get the impression Freeman always plays himself, so I guess I'll go with Pitt. :P
I was thinking that, but I tried to think of a movie that Pitt was great in and I just couldn't come up with anything. Not sure... As awesome as he is, I kind of get the impression Freeman always plays himself. :P

I was thinking that, but I tried to think of a movie that Pitt was great in and I just couldn't come up with anything. Then you have to see more of his films. I think Pitt is good in most of the roles he is in, but he is great in Fight Club, Babel, Se7en, Snatch, Twelve Monkeys, The Assassination of Jesse James (probably one of if not his best) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.Pitt is a formulaic Hollywood actor, just like Reeves and Cage. They do what they are told, and don't dare deviate. None have the makings of a classic or versatile actor.

Yes him and Clooney made that film.Brad Pitt is pretty much a spitting image of Robert Redford. He's almost as the same league as far as acting goes.. :|Pitt is a formulaic Hollywood actor, just like Reeves and Cage. They do what they are told, and don't dare deviate. I've seen all of those. The only one I think he did a good job in was The Assassination of Jesse James. I think the others are good and great movies, I just don't think his acting made them great. He's pretty bland and seems to fill the pretty face quota nicely, but his acting doesn't impress me.Formulaic? Far from it in my opinion. He is far from a generic actor like Cage. I mean you cant even compare him in Burn After Reading to Jesse James, or Benjamin Button to Snatch. Freeman on the other hand plays Freeman, he never mixs it up.Pitt is a formulaic Hollywood actor, just like Reeves and Cage. They do what they are told, and don't dare deviate. Willis is THE MAN in Twelve Monkeys. Pitt plays an idiot who gets shot in Burn After Reading. It's not a exactly a stellar performance.
I am thinking of my favorite Morgan movies: Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. I LOVE Freeman, and I think his touch is gold ... BUT ... I am not sure he is a different person in both movies. I am not sure how to say this but ... you never forget he is Morgan Freeman, even if he is playing a washed out boxer or a bounty hunter or an inmate. He is always Morgan Freeman in my mind.
Pitt, on the other hand, I can forget who he is, even if just for a movie or a scene.
I am not sure what this means, maybe it's just superficial, but it's the biggest difference I have noticed between em.
I like Morgan Freeman. Every movie I've seen with him in it, he always portrays his role excellently.
He was a good idiot, plus insert spoilers, like this

Twelve Monkeys was definitely an interesting movie. I liked Bruce Willis a lot more than Brad Pitt in it, though.

I wouldn't say Pitt is at all a bad actor. But seriously.... the ****? comparing him to Robert Redford. Even in his best film (Fight Club) he wasn't half as good (yes this is now an empirical measurement) as Redford in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.Woot! I dont see what is so appealing about Willis in that film...[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"] Brad Pitt is pretty much a spitting image of Robert Redford. He's almost as the same league as far as acting goes.. :|clembo1990
