I'm sure everyone has heard about the Yearning for Zion ranch and how Texas took custody of 400+ children after hearing things about child abuse. What I don't understand is how it was ruled that those kids are being sent back. The first thing that police saw there was a bunch of pregnant teens walking around. If you see 13 year old pregnant girls, that should be more than enough evidence to not send them back.

They brainwash these children until they're adults. Now in court of course they need evidence, but wouldn't you think that the judge would be smart enough to keep these children away from a place where girls get pregnant right at puberty and boys have to do the same at a young age?

I think that the right decision was made. Who says that those kids are too young too breed? As long as they have gone through puberty, then they are technically old enough to reproduce, so why should the government interfere as long as they are not being physically hurt.

The legal system is pathetically broken. If it isn't in writing, it doesn't matter who said or did what. There is no concern for children or anyone in the courts; only what is on paper and what color that paper is. It's disgusting that these kids are being sent back, but it's really not all that surprising.

And if you think the courts are bad, try the Department of Children and Families. They are so horrible and feminist.

You have to be joking.

The main reason our body goes through puberty is so that our reproductive systems can develop. So once we hit puberty, that is nature's way of saying that we are ready to reproduce. It was only after 1000s of years did the human race try to interfere and set an "age limit". If you look at nature, most animals start reproducing as soon as they can, and seeing as we are one of the ONLY species to put an age limit on reproducing, it kind of looks like we may be in the wrong.

But what do I know, I was stupid enough to actually listen in Biology class:P.

Well from what I've read it's not as if all +400 children are being sent back in one fell swoop. There has been some immediate returns of some young kids and some of the "kids" with children have been identified as adults (as old as 27) have also been sent back.

The problem is the whole seizure was based on a call that appears to have been a hoax so the idea that the state moved in and took all of a community's children away based on a lie makes their claims of child abuse somewhat tenuous. Although there's great concern for the welfare of the children, they are having a big problem tracking down birth records of all the "kids" and finding out what actual age they are.

There is still plenty of time for the state to file an appeal and block the immediate return of all the children out of concern for the possibly underage parents and other children spread throughout Texas so that they have more time to investigate the situation.

Age of consent is 18 genius. Thats statutory AT THE VERY LEAST!

Not only that, these kids are not only being brainwashed (Mainly the women who are taught to be nothing more than obediant dogs it seems) but the women are forced to wed BEFORE THE AGE OF 18. Can't legally be married before you are 18 years old.

This ruling is retarded to the Nth degree. You guys know WHY the judges overturned the ruling? HE WANTS THE CASES TO BE DONE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS!!!

Hmmm lets see, there were over 400 kids sent back to their parents. You know what that means? ABOUT 400 CASES JUST FOR THESE PEOPLE ALONE!!!

The decision is flat out STUPID and that ranch should be re-posessed because the peeople are using its privacy to repeatedly break laws for their "religion."

Personally, I still don't like the idea of those psychopaths going out into society for fear of them breeding even more. Where is natural selection when you need it....

Yes this is the retarded nature of the justice system. Its not the pregnant minors running around thats important it's finding pieces of paper that very likely don't exist as these disgusting people KNOW they are breaking the law and have likely either not kept records or have systematically destroyed them.......

The courts decision has stupid written all over it.

It may seem foolish to you but as faulty as the system may be putting the onus on the state to prove wrong doing seems like a good procedure to me. So far half of the supposed children that were pregnant or parents have been proven to be adults upon further investigation. You can't rush justice otherwise you give in to mob rule which is something that most people tend to shy away from.

Have heard no mention of such a thing.

Regardless, if there are only a few that still means these people are comitting statutory, not to mention who knows how many times some of the women have been pregnant.
