After getting into 40K, I've found the "enemies" in other types of fiction kind of pale in comparison to things like Chaos daemons, Tyranids and the Dark Eldar.

I've been watching X-Files recently, I remember that dude from Season 2, but any number of monsters or aliens from that show would work, including that creepy in-bred family in the episode "Home".

But my vote goes to demons, an unseen powerful evil that could possibly be real. I remember the sleepless nights as a boy after seeing The Exorcist.

Ha ! I chose demons, and its winning by lots of votes. I'm old school, and before zombies, demons was in the movies, tv, ect. Now its mostly zombies, but demons are way more scary. They are there to kill you, not eat you. And to terrorize you. Freakin scary demons !

I think most demons (my choice as well) are more interested in possession, enslaving your mind and use you as a vehicle for great evil.

I think Succubus demons would rather charm, have sex with mortals, either enslave them to their will, or kill them and eat them. That's how I picture them. Similar to female vampires in some ways but have horns and wings in their natural form, and are more powerful than vampires.

Guess I'm in the minority that picked Aliens. Dangerous and creepy if they are super-intelligent, and use their powers for evil chaos and destruction.
