I had one of those half awake/half asleep type dreams before, and it felt like I'm feeling right now typing this. Could not tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Anyway, it started out with me in my bed around 2 am, and it was sweltering. You know, when it's so miserably hot that you have your blanket abandoned on the floor with just your sheets curled around you in a haphazardly manner. I had my left arm and leg hanging off the bed, and I noticed my step-dad closing the door with the light in the hallway shining through, but it was slowly fading away as the door was being closed. Once it got completely dark I started thinking Leprechaun was commanding demons to enter my body (just his face though; if I thought of his whole body, I would start laughing). Anyway, I was trying to ignore it thinking that they would leave me alone if I pretended not to notice it, but I also didn't want to be overcome by them through my negligence so I just said HIS name "Jesus", but my voice sounded like the exorcist. It freaked me out so bad that I woke up at that point, but in the same exact position I was dreaming in, with my left arm and leg hanging off the bed.

That's known as a lucid dream. There are ways to make them happen more often, even to the point where you can fully manipulate what happens

If I could get lucid dreams at will....oh yeah.
