Coming off Alien and Aliens, Alien 3 was a huge let down. Roland1987
Dude no way I agree it was some what of a let down but it was a solid movie.. Only reason I am saying this is you left out the worse one possible.. Alien resurrection, such a god awful movie..
That being said the worse sequel of all time are the Batman & Robin and Batman Forever movies... What were they THINKING!

Umm yea.. sure...
Star Wars Episode I. Yeah, it's technically a "prequel," but whatever.
Also Jurassic Park: Lost World. Now that movie had roughly zero redeeming value.
Pretty much any Land Before Time sequel-These movies are nothing more than money taking machines in the form of a disc or VHS with no redeeming qualites at all.
Star Wars Episode 1-Um....where's the character and plot development?
Pirates of the Carribean 3-This movie tried too hard to be more complex in addition to the already-complex plot they most likely had when they started on the movie.
Star Wars Episode 3-The lightsable battle at the end saved the whole movie, peoples' faith in Hollywood, and George Lucas' career.

oh my god that sucked, and caddyshack 1 was so good.
Yup. I would agree with Pirates 3 too. Couldnt even follow the plot.[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="chester706"]Caddyshack 2. *shudders*chester706

Will was able to become the next Davy Jones so easily, why that woman was a god, and why she didn't return Davy to normal. Also, what was the point of the Singapore trip.

Spiderman 3
The Grudge 2
Star Wars Episodes I-III (technically prequels, but still worth mentioning)
The Matrix 2 and 3
POTC 2
Xmen 3: The Last Stand
Saw 3
Hostel Part 2
Starship Troopers 2 takes the cake. Worst movie of all time.

Totally agree man. The first movie was awesome, I was so dissapointed by the sequel :(
Highlander 2 - Just godawful as a move AND sequel. CheddarLimbo
I don't know how that movie ever came into existence. One of the most terrible things I've ever seen. And if it wasn't bad enough, that it was a sequel to such a great film made it even worse. Every thing that made the first one so good was striped from it. It's like Peter Jackson making a fourth Lord of The Rings where we find out all the creatures are aliens from another planet and then add a **** half-assed plot recycling moments from the first three films, but to a much, much, much worse degree.

The story of the making of that movie is actually pretty interesting in and of itself....
According to the documentary Highlander II: Seduced by Argentina, the film's apparent failure is partially result of the bonding company's interference with the work of directorRussell Mulcahy, as well as economic problems within Argentina itself. Mulcahy reportedly hated the final product so much he walked out of the film's world premiere after viewing its first 15 minutes. For similar reasons, Christopher Lambert threatened to walk out of the project when it was nearing fruition, but he didn't, due to contract obligation.Wikipedia

[QUOTE="Guiltfeeder566"]Alien vs. Predetor. Killed all chances at a real Alien sequal.Film-Guy
there is a rumor that Neil Marshall, the guy who directed The Descent and Dog Soldiers may direct Alien 5. I hope its true, I think hes a really good director.
alien 5? um i thought it was alien, aliens ○& then resurrection .there was a 4th one?
Shrek 3- how'd they make such a boring ass comedy.
robocop sequals- just dumb
The hills have eyes 2- the first one was sucky but this one was just plain ol ****
Mostly any movie sequel is almost guranteed to be crap.
But I actually like the sequels to the pirates movies, not that they are better than Curse of the black pearl (too silly for that), the third pirates seems more plot focused and more akin to the first one, but what holds it back to comparison is it's 170 minute length, which most impatient viewers want it to end. If they are going to make another sequel to it (which is likely), I wouldn't mindthem making Modern piracy (Like they did with Call of Duty 4).
