So, everyone knows of at least one moment in cinema that just brought tears to their eyes.  That one scene that just affected you in so many ways.  I've seen very few movies that were actually able to emotionally affect me, and even less that were able to bring tears to my eyes.

So, for you, what was the most heartbreaking moment in cinema?

For me, it would have to be the end of The Godfather Part 3.  It was probably the saddest moment in a movie that I know of.  It wasn't a great movie overall, especially when compared to parts 1, and 2, but it was still pretty good.  That final scene on the doorsteps, that chilling scream, and final lonely departure from life was just an amazingly sad moment.

Not a moment in particular.

But, Grave of the Fireflies - just a very sad and well executed movie in general.

I ve never cried during or after any movies. The only one that had me on the verge or teas, and really got me was United 93, the end when they fight back.

the most heartbreaking moment in cinema for me was about half way through grindhouse when I realised I'd never be getting the time or money back that I had just wasted.

Hmm, I don't cry that often during films, but the end of The Elephant Man really got to me.

In V for Vendetta, when all of the people began marching with their masks. It didnt bring tears to my eyes or anything, just moved me. Sent chills down my spine, as some might say. I did cry however, at the end of Pay it Forward. Only movie to make me cry.

Nice list, I agree with The Green Mile, that was a very moving movie, especially the execution at the end.

The Green Mile- the execution was sad, and when the guard kills the mouse i found that kinda sad

Lion King- when i was 6 i cried when Mufasa dies

Click- the whole time when Adam Sandler was being an ass to his dad, and his dad dies

This will probably sound gay i didnt cry but one of those hard to explain makes you feel all good inside is when in " For Love of the Game" when he throws the perfect game and then gives it all up.

Titanic, when Rose lets go of Jack See Spot Run, when they kill the dog Lion King, when Mufasa dies Now, this was all when I was younger though. The only recent time I had tears in my eyes while watching a movie was when my friend did something that made me laugh enough to bring tears to me eyes.
