There are some great films coming out this year, these are my most hyped 5 though.
1. Burn after reading
2. Australia
3. Quantom of Solace
4. Righteous kill
5. Mirrors

The Dark Knight (which I'm seeing tonight!) and of course Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The 6th book is not only my favorite Harry Potter book, it's my all time favorite in general. I'm so pumped for the movie.

"Burn after reading" looks pretty great. Not too excited for QoS but it could turn out fine. I haven't heard of Australia, but I'll definitely keep tabs on it.
Righteous Kill looks really good. Mirrors...looks like a horror movie with a good plot device, but will probably end up as cookiecutter as the rest of them.

Mirrors interests me because I think the director has alot of potential, plus I think the idea if done well could be really good. Check out the red band trailer for it to see what I mean.

It's a good idea. It really is. I'm just always skeptical when it comes to horror movies.:P

understandable, most horror films these days are pretty bad overall. There are a few gems like 1408, the mist and session 9 but in the mainstream horror is very dumbed down.

See, 1408 has a cool premise, and a spectacular first 40 minutes, but then it just went to crap and ended up so full of plotholes that I almost thought that and ending with it all being in his head could be better, and that's depressing. The movie's progression was horrific.
I thought the Mist was good. Haven't seen Session 9.

The alternative ending on the 1408 DVD is much better and explains the film more. I agree the progression was a bit slow but overall it was a good change from all the typical horror crap put out.
In general, I'll say that The Dark Knight was very hyped.
But I don't know about any other future movies.

2. Australia

I remember i was at the mall of america and somebody went up to me and asked me if i wanted to see a sneak preview of a new big hollywood movie, but i thought it was some scam or something, so i said no. The next day i read the paper and found out that it wasn't a scam and it was a special sneak preview of Australia. I felt very stupid.
