what is the most obscure band you listen to?

i listen to many obscure bands. but i guess the most obscure would have to be Necro Stellar. a synth band from Russia that combines male and female vocals.

doubleDrive, Dark new Day, Redd Threat, and Iron Steel are all obscure. It's too bad Redd Threat and doubleDrive aren't together anymore though.

Hmm... probably either Younha or UVERworld, unless you're a J-pop fan. Aside from J-pop and O-Zone, I mostly listen to mainstream American stuff.

I'd say The Wolfe Tones. Irish Folk Song band, controversial for singing songs of the Rebellion and the IRA. Famous in Ireland, (probably) obscure in the US.

As far as metal goes, Opeth are pretty mainstream. I don't think they're obscure, but they are awesome.

I know exactly what you mean. Most of the stuff I listen to gets no radio airtime whatsoever, at least not in the UK, but in the right circles, they're big. Take VNV Nation for example, a lot of people will have no idea about them, but you ask a Rivethead and they'll know precisely who you're talking about.

I just gave the gazette a chance . .Dir en grey's allot better, try listening to more songs . .their latest record is the heaviest but don't bother with the old stuff cause it sounds like j-pop [ 6 Ugly, Vulgar and withering to death are the best give em a shot ] . .Oh yeah and mansons better of course XP

Most of the bands I listen to have never been heard of by people I go to school with and stuff, but I'm sure lots of other people know of them. The most obscure ones I listen to are probably The Good The Bad and The Queen, The Fratellis, and Spoon. Although they're pretty popular.
