Chris Cornell has a really good voice.xTheExploitedYeah, but he wastes it.
When he was in Audioslave he didn't wanna do any political songs.
And I actually heard him sing a song about how his girlfriend is "Screaming at the top of your head".
Why Cornell?; Why?

im not a fan of cornell's new music, but what is wrong with singing songs about you're girlfriend? Love is the most universal theme in music I can think of.
Commanding, enthralling, it can mean a lot of things. I don't know why you would think it means political...WolfattheDoor34I don't know, I thought he meant influential or something
I didn't think he actually meant their voice.
But, why does it matter if its modern or not?

Narrows down the choices a bit probably.

So then what does powerful mean?

To me it could just mean a voice that conveys emotions well like Nick Cave. To some it might just mean a very epic voice like the guy from muse.
Everyone's voice can convey emotion....but not everyone has a powerful voice.[QUOTE="Film-Guy"]

"Powerful" most likely refers to the voice itself; not depending on the type of songs in which it is used.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Everyone's voice can convey emotion. That isn't true at all.Of course it is...unless they have a disorder. Perhaps you are not adept at picking it out?[QUOTE="Film-Guy"]
