so what was the most recent feeling of pain you have had?

can be physical pain or psychological pain.

Me, mine is physical.

the other day, i had to get up hella early since my niece decided she had slept long enough. then about a couple hours later, she had fallen asleep. so being tired and my niece being asleep, i figured id take a nap as well.

napped for a good hour and a half. woke up. then stretched, as i usually do when i wake up.

what followed after that stretch was one of the worst feelings of pain i had felt in a long ass time. so i stretched then out of nowhere, my calf muscle seized up. got a calf cramp. instantly brought me to my knees. hurt so fvcking bad. lasted for about a minute and a half. then for two days after, my calf was sore as hell.

first calf cramp i have ever had, and hopefully the last. hurt so fvcking bad.

what about you OT, what pain have you had recently?

EDIT- apparently i cant spell calf.:P

Physical - Dropping a frozen Turkey on my toe.

Psychological - A lot of personal issues and frustrations combined to make me a sad panda yesterday.

A fvcking cabinet being thrown at my face this year. I'm surprised my head wasn't removed by it or that I manage to keep all my teeth intact. Damn boss wasn't paying attention, just slinging stuff down the steps when we were demoing a house. He snatched one of those giant floor cabinet in the kitchen and slinged it directly at my face when attempting to throw it down the steps. Left a nice scar from the top of my forehead to the top of my lip....

Thankfully, the scar wasn't permanent. Just about healed up. But it did create a bit of a gap to my two front teeth...

I ate some nachos, and one of them must've touched something sensitive in my back teeth. Supposedly I have a small tooth cavity somewhere in my mouth. Didn't hurt too bad, but it still hurt. This happened yesterday.

Two months ago I had kidney stones. It feels like someone is stabbing you in the abdomen while kicking you in the balls repeatedly. I cried. I screamed. There was much gnashing of teeth and hurling things across rooms on that day. Then my buddy Percocet came by and all was well...at least, it was until it came time for The Passing. Oh, The Passing. The Passing is a thing. It is a thing that is a nightmare ripped straight from the Book of Revelations. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse slowly trudge their way through the narrow corridor of my urethra whilst carrying pointed sticks...sticks that were on fire.

I have had an ear ache the past few days. As for psychological pain, nothing comes to mind. I am a robot. Maybe.

I was in bed last night trying to sleep. Everything was quiet, comfortable. Suddenly I get anunnecessary cramp in my calf muscle and I'm making noises like some sort of farm animal.

It wasn't fun for me

The bad part about it was the fact I was in excruciating pain when trying to open my mouth due to the insides of my top lip being busted thanks to my teeth scraping it when the cabinet hit it. So it became painful to talk and really painful to eat, especially when food scraped the large open sore on my top lip inside my mouth....

A few weeks ago I was suffering from testicular pain. It was so bad I could hardly walk and my back and legs were suffering. It was pretty intense. It felt like my balls were going to rupture at any given moment.

I'm fine now though.

I still ate them. I wanted to bash my head on the table a couple of times when I made a mistake and brushed food with BBQ or hot sauce against my sore, but I tried being as careful as possible. Sort of mash and mincing the food to a smaller size where I don't have to open my mouth wide open or worry about it brushing against the sore in my mouth. It took nearly 3 weeks for it to finally heal all the way up....

Just psychological comes to mind.

I had huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge and sudden death anxiety that caused my mind to be a horrifically terrible place to live quite recently. I started to see zero point in doing anything what so ever. I didn't even feel like eating. Couldn't sleep. Couldn't even game. I'm usually quite a happy person, so this hit me like a bomb.

Fighting the bad thoughts of my mind and replacing them with positive ones has been difficult and I haven't won the battle yet, but I sure feel a bit better on it now. Thank goodness for a decent amount of will power.

Well, my farmhand job went down the toilet because my employer thought I was getting hurt too much on the job. In hindsight, it's a good thing and I honestly didn't enjoy the job too much, so no psychological pain, but I'll share what happened to me that finally put me over the edge of acceptable injuries.

Since harvest season is pretty much done over here in Western PA, we've mostly been tending to the animals. We were putting new insulation inside an old barn on the property that the guy was hoping to keep his horses in over the winter, when the idiot that was helping me put up the insulation decided to leave the ladder I was standing on unbraced so he could go and light a smoke outside. The ladder I was on is ANCIENT, an old wooden ladder from the 1950s that has been exposed to the elements for years, so the metal bracing on the ladder are old, loose, and tend to move a lot. He was supposed to keep the ladder still while I put up the insulation. I didn't know he was taking a break (he just let go of the ladder and didn't tell me), or I would have climbed down until he was done.

Anyway, I was reaching up to staple in some insulation near the ceiling when the ladder started moving. I looked down to see he wasn't there, freaked out because the ladder was moving, fell off the ladder, and landed on a pallet our boss kept hay on. I was knocked out for 2 hours and suffered a minor concussion. Farmer decided to let me go on the count that I've hurt myself many times working for him and he didn't want me to kill myself (The way he put it was "Knowing your luck, you'll get sucked into the combine or get crushed in a freak cow stampede").

Needless to say, I've been out of work for 3 weeks and couldn't be happier.

tl;dr - I fell off a ladder and knocked myself out, then lost my job, which I'm actually happy about.

So, some annoying whining incoming:

Going cold turkey on a certain drug seemed like a good idea like a week ago, but now I'm fairly certain I'm dying. My head is full of static, it's all I hear, and when I move my eyes what feels like electric zaps run through my head, and I can't stop shivering, even though I'm also burning hot. And I have these really horrible dreams, which doesn't sound bad in writing, but I thought my dreams couldn't possible get worse then they were before, but I was wrong, and they are super realistic and I get confused if something was a dream or reality. This morning I had to go over and take my little sister to school, and I swear within the span of a minute I went from wanting to strangle a certain family member to wanting to cry to wanting to just drive into oncoming traffic. Speaking of driving, I'm dizzy, though this seems to have lessened, but I can't even walk in a straight line, so driving is perilous, but I can't say not drive because I'm terrified of a lot of things, but my mother tops them all. Also, I can't think clearly, if at all, and I'm not sure if what I'm writing even makes sense. Unrelated to this, I also have the flu because I can never seem to visit my family during holidays without catching something from someone, and my nose really hurts. And this is all painful for me, but I'm too far in to stop now. And I think I'm sharing too much, and I'm pretty sure any doubt I was an idiot is gone.

You' re not an idiot. Your pain stems from a wrong choice which you probably made for a reason. That and absence of luck in your life in general maybe?

so what was the most recent feeling of pain you have had?

can be physical pain or psychological pain.

It seems to happen to my knee or something similar to my knee where it feels like it's been dislocated and I have to move my leg straight to hear it click back in place. Also had cramps on rare occasions usually after stretching waking up then I get a cramp and then spazz out in the bed trying to stop it.

Physical: Uh... well, I guess recently, I managed to roll my left ankle yet again. When I do this, my foot tuns inwards, causing my ankle to bend at a 90 degree ankle. When this happens, I tend to fall to the floor, which isn't fun, because 1) I'm a grown man, and 2) I'm heavy as hell.

Psychological: Dealing with the rigors of law school, owning a business and the toll my father's failing health has had on my wellness. My dad had a heart attack at the beginning of the semester, which led to him going into renal and respiratory failure. This semester has been full of ER and ICU visits, hoping for the best, but ultimately being dealt disappointment after disappointment. I'm the eldest of 5, and with that, comes the responsibility of being the supportive father figure. Thanksgiving was rough this year - with my dad being in the ICU - but things are starting to look a little better.

Well I have a permanent injury that causes me pain every day... but I won't count that and choose my last thing. Earlier this year I had muscle spasms in my upper back that spread the pain up through my entire neck and my whole right arm. Muscle spasms really, really, REALLY effing hurt... that hell went on for almost two whole weeks, the hospital gave me some nice pills... I think they were called oxy contin and boy do they ever make you feel invincible when you're high on them. I didn't take a ridiculous amount by the way, just one pill gets you all sillied up.

Routine surgery 2 months ago, pain was on the heavier side during the night for 2 to 3 days, I didn't want to take any painkillers but I didn't complain either. I fuigure it's best to form a relationship with pain when it's there, instead of running away from it. Different story when pain is unbearable after a heavy operation for example, then painkillers serve a good purpose.

Be VERY careful with those meds, bud - those are HIGHLY addictive.

My left arm broke and now I'm dealing with sharp pains which isn't that big of a deal. If anything, they're more of an annoyance. It'll take some time to heal so in the meantime, I can't put pressure or weight on my left arm.

[QUOTE="NamelessJay"]

I can see why haha, I have those things locked away and they won't see the light of day again unless that pain ever comes back (doctors said it probably will sometime)
