Movie News: Terimnator: Slavation: The Future Begins get an official release date: May 22, 2009, according to Variety,

The reason that is interesting is because that same weekend Ben Stiller's Night At The Museum 2 opens as well. It'll be interesting to see which one will take the top spot come that monday.

I know, it's not the most exciting news, but it's something.

Pros: 1. It takes place in the future, so it'll be interesting to see how the story goes.

2. It's going to have Christian Bale in it. If the Dark Knight is as suscessful as the studio believes it will be, this will help be a major draw as well.

3. One of the possible stars of the film (Sam Worthington) has been recomended to the director by James Cameron himself. Having the creator of the series give an recomendation like that will help with the credibility of the movie.

Cons: McG (Charlie's Angels) is directing the film. That just about says it all.

The TV show is awsome, and so is Christian Bale. It was the third film which wasnt good. But Sargeant Candy would be hilarious.

It kind of bugged me that Arnold was in every terminator. Out of all the models they had. they always sent back a Model 101. Apparently there must have been 100 models before the 101ist in the T-800 series. So that means atleast 100 different people could have played the T-800.

Too many coincidences. Skynet sends back a T-800 model 101. The resistance captures a T-800 that happens to be a model 101. Then they capture another T-800 that also happens to be a model 101.

Why would Arnold need to be in this movie? There will be T-800's everywhere. They won't all be a model 101. With that many models you don't even need the 101 in that movie. Nobody said the 101 is the last model in the series either. Skynet could have 1,001 different skins for the T-800 series.

Terminator 2 is the best action movie of all time. No other movie can top that. T-1000 is one bad ass terminator. But I don't know if I am excited for the upcoming one, seeing that the third one was kinda good. Terminator needs James Cameron.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Night at the Museum takes the top spot. It's family friendly and Terminator is Arnold-less.

So I guess this just proves people watch terminator for Arnold and pay no attention to the story. From what I gather the majority of the viewers have absolutely no idea what the movie is about nor what is going on. They just like to see arnold walk around in leather and shades.

The future. The holocaust. I guess the purpose of terminator 3 was to show the chain of events leading to the holocaust. Now the war is on.

And this is news? The Terminator movies made Arnold. People remember the movie for Arnold, Nobody remembers the hot blonde in the third movie. Or that Guns and Roses did the music for the second. They remember Arnold. Leather jacket, dark sunglasses, and Austrian accent. "I'll be back!"

I almost laughed in disappointment at reading about this. Christian Bale is a decent actor so it might not be too bad.

That was the movie that made Arnold. Yes, he was in the Conan movies (great fantasy flicks BTW), but it was The Terminator that got him famous. He was an A list star only after The Terminator.

Dude we get it, you dont like Terminator.

They sent back the 2nd terminator in T-2 because it was the only one they could get their hands on. Thats simple enough dont you think?

I find it hilarious that you glance over the fact that humans are fighting machines in the future, have time travel capabilities, and that someone can turn into liquid metal...yet the fact that the terminators look the same takes you out of it. Robots are not unique, nor do they have much of a concept of it. I can live with the fact that they've got a few models that look simliar.

Is this one about the actual war itself? that would be a pretty good concept....specially since the Terminator series didn't leave much closer as to what was going on in the war with Humans and Robots.

No, the point is... In anything you manufacture you have a series then models. If you have a model 101 that means you have atleast 100 other models in that series. So why do they keep encountering the same model? Same series same model everytime.

Since the T-1000 series can change it's model via changing form it's only manufacured in one form. Same goes for the TX. They're universal. No need to design multiple exterior flesh.

The time machine is silly but why couldn't they make a machine that can manipulate all polymer? We do it. We liquefy ploymers shape them and re-solidify them. The gist of it is the T-1000 can manipulate all polymer weather it's metal or plastic or fabric. Even living things. If nature can make living things from liquid I don't see why an intelligent machine couldn't do the same.

At first I didn't care to see part 3 either. In my opinion it's a step backwards fromt the second one and I thought T3 should have been the holocaust but I guess T3 is what is because they didn't want to leave a gap in the storyline.

As for the TV series. I figured it would suck. And it's not very good, no where near as good as the movies and pretty much rapes every angle of the storyline but it's much than any other drama or show that airs monday at 2100.

My suggestion would be that the resistence keeps sending back the same ones, because they aren't the ones making the new terminators. They can only send what they capture...and I doubt they are capturing the T-1000s and reprograming them. Also, in T1 they showed a T100 taking down a number of humans in the future (It was either a flashback or a dream) and it looked different from Arney so maybe they had two models.

Either way my head hurts. To each his own, I thought the series was good, and T3 was OK but could have been better.

It is a great story and it can stand on its own. I just enjoy Arnold, especially his one liners. Its just not the same coming from someone else, unless its Bruce Willis.

Too bad Arnold won't be in the movie, he should atleast have a small role. Anyway I am still looking forward to the movie and since Christian Bale is going to be in it makes the movie even more worthwhile.
