Movies that fell apart during the third act.....

I was watching Red Eye on TV today, and I thought the movie was pretty good until [spoiler] the guy gets stabbed in the neck [/spoiler] The movie just fell apart from there.

So name some movies that you thought was good until the horrendous third act.

The first Hulk springs to mind. The movie started out awesome, and could have gone down as one of the better comic films. But then they tacked on that out-of-nowhere Final Fantasy fight in the clouds, and it just completely took me out of the movie.

Yes, I also thought of this one. I think the film really just suffered from false advertising more than anything, though.

I'll also say Apocolypto. It became a typical 'oh look, i set traps' movie

How are you supposed to tell when an act is in a movie? When you say third act, I think of a Shakespearean play.

That was the end of the third act. The third act began when The Hulk actually started tearing **** up.

Anyway, I'll technically agree, since the part that you mentioned happened during the third act. But I think that The Hulk is a bad example, since the movie also really only started to get GOOD during the third act.

Anyway, my choice was Sunshine. I think that the whole movie fell apart at the BEGINNING of the third act, and never recovered.

This was exactly the movie I thought of first when I saw this thread. I love the first half of the movie, but then it went a completely different direction for the worst.
