Movies that nobody has heard of but you recommend people to watch.

So for the first time today, I watched The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, And I actually enjoyed it. So I decided to go on a little hunt watching some movies that people never heard of, got any recommendations?

I've heard The Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are very good but I also think they are very hard to get.

I heard that movie Season of the Witch did pretty good.;)

Very real gives you a better more realistic sense of War, and is not your average hollywood war flick. Highly recommended for any war film junkies like myself.

Ive never recomended it to anyone, but Spirited Away is a good, fairly obscure movie.

500 days of Summer. Very good movie.

Beast of War. Not sure if it was well known when it came out (probably was) but it was an epic movie. Now I can't find it on dvd which is a shame.

Agree wtih Dancer In the Dark. You hear musical and think whimsical / upbeat, but damn, that movie was messed up.
