Well Wall-E definitely suffered from lack of an R rating. A sex scene was necessary to display the love between the two. Since naturally it's all about sex.

AVP would of benefitted from an R.

Both Mortal Kombat games.

Really any movie that heavily relies on violence.

As for which would of benefitted from a PG-13? I remember seeing a movie awhile back that was rated R and I kept thinking "They could of just removed the cursing and it would of worked out as PG-13 just fine. The cursing isn't necessary."

Shame I cannot remember the movie.

I thought The Dark Knight should have been R. I wanted to see the Joker actually carve someone's face, it was anti-climatic when they just changed the shot all of sudden.

Terminator Salvation should have been made with R in mind. I enjoyed the premise, but the last half of the movie bites and it really could have benefited to get the R rating like the first two,

Is excessive gore really necessary? I'd rather they paid attention to the story...and not gore for the sake of gore. One of the films considered legendary is Psycho...and it didn't use excessive gore to create the sensation.

Movies aren't bad because of their age ratings. Though honestly heavy violence sometimes makes a movies more interesting for me, especially if it's a load of trash. Otherwise I don't mind.

Live Free or Die Hard certainly would've benefited from and R-rating. Not for added violence (the movie was already completely stupid because of the action in it), but John McClane's witticisms injected with swearing are a big part of the heart of what makes Die Hard awesome, and with less of those sorts of comments, the movie wasn't as enjoyable as it could've been.
