I, Robot

What did you hate about the I am legend book? i admit its a lot slower than the movie, but its also much more emotional and tense and the ending is brilliant compared to the crappy hollywood ending of the movie.
The ending is what I hated lol. I loved how it conveyed the feeling of just being alone and in solitude but the ending just ruined it for me to be honest.WHat was it about the ending you hated? Was it too depressing or sad? I'm not gonna flame and I respect your opinion, I personally thought the ending made the book much better.
was the ending in the book the same as the movie's alternate ending? if so, then i think i can understand why he wouldn't like the book as much as the movie. the ending in the movie is much better than the alternate ending i saw.The books ending is much better and different to the movies ending,
SPOILER!!!!!!!!!
in the book Neville is in los angeles suburbs not new york city. In the book, Neville is captured by a new breed of vampires who can restrain their urge for blood and can live in sunlight, he is taken to their headquarters to be executed. One of the vampires takes pity on him and gives him a pill to make the pain go away, she leaves and he realizes that he is the monster now, the vampires see him as a monster who kills their kind like a beast. He accepts his fate and takes the pills, the last line in the book is one of my favorites lines in literature.
"A new terror born in death. A new superstition entering the unassailble fortess of forever...I am legend."
Yeah, the last line in that book is epic, and such a great ending, as opposed to either version in the movie.
I Am Legend book > I am legend movie. The book was so epic, and the movie was entirely anti-climactic.
