All I can say is... wow! :o http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2192288/mozilla-releases-firefox-14-and-encrypts-google-searches-by-default And here's the reason why it's Firefox 14.0.1 and not Firefox 14.0. http://www.ghacks.net/2012/07/17/firefox-14-0-1-available-why-there-wont-be-a-firefox-14-0-release/

ONLY Google searches?

Or ALL searches on any engine?

didn't they released the version 13 like 15 days ago? are they that desperate to catch the number version of chrome?

i remember when they released firefox 3 and 4 they did some viral campaigns and everyone was curious, now their "releases" are nothing more than generic numbers

Apparently new versions offer better security, I'm not so sure how that works though...

Firefox is the browser I use in order to get away from Google from time to time, by setting DDG as the default, and omnibar search engine. As well as have Do not track and Adblock+ running.

If I want to use Google services(which I do frequently after all I don't mind), I will use chrome, because it has better integration.

I edited the title to say that only Firefox 14.0.1 was released today; see my first post to know why.

It's every six weeks. They release just as often as Chrome and they play down the number scheme these days.
