I drive a Mercedes-Benz. If I were to buy an american car it would be either a Lincoln or a Cadillac.

I hate to burst your bubble, but many muscle cars (3rd Gen Firebird, 4th gen and new Camaro, modern 300C/Charger/Challenger) are imports as well.

I drive a civic, but I am a big fan of BMW, hopefully a couple years down the line I'll get a 335i, or the 535d SE. If I am really lucky an M5. Best performance in its class baby. Ultimate driving machine.

"FunkWeasel"That's nice, but If I were going German, Audi all the way fool The M5 engine is a masterpiece, and received numerous awards, if you ask me no Audi will outperform a BMW in the same class. Also the quality on the Audis is lacking, plus they have terrible timing belt issues. I do like the new A4 2.0T though.

Im sorry, but if gas were a dollar fifty like it used to be when I was akid (im only 24 lol) I'd say "Daddy, I want a GTO!"

But its so critical to get good mileage now that I gotta say import. German, to be specific.

btw does "import" mean asian cars only? or can it apply to european? I know technically both are imported, but I never hear people refer to BMWs and Porsches as imports. I hear "foreign" used.

i'ld love a classic american muscle car as a plaything if i get rich but i wouldn't drive it every day with that huge fuel consumption, i think i'ld have a reliable japanese car or maybe a BMW if i get a well paid job.

Americans can't make cars anymore. Give me a Lambourghini or a Ferrari any day of the week over a Corvette. Besides Americans have committed the ultimate driving offence: Making Hummers popular.
