Metal is my favorite, but I also listen to rock, punk, metalcore, rap and jazz. Just recently started listening to jazz. Classical is the next genre I aim to move to :D
I really like blues and rock, those two are my favorite genres. I also love folk, psychedelic, country, jazz, bluegrass, pop, and the various combinations of all of the above.

Heheh. That's pretty common. I know people who only listen to pretty much one prog rock band like Tool, The Mars Volta, or Rush.

I forgot. I love Rush. Yeah. It's weird, because most prog bands are hard to get into so you have to really love music, and yet most people who like The Mars Volta always hated music.

Metal (the majority of it's sub genres), Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Jazz, Classical, some Techno/electronica, Punk, Hardcore Punk, Ska, Reggae, some 80's pop, and thats about it i think. Metal is my favorite though :P
I enjoy a variety, its sad that no one chose classical, some classical artists do some pretty amazing stuff. Chopin i think it is that does "Prelude Op. 28 No. 16" anyone with a slight taste in piano and nuts **** listen to that...i guaranty you will lose your mind. I also like METALZ, hardcore, rap/hip-hop, anything electronic, experimental stuff, relaxation music. I really dont think there is a genre i dont enjoy...
I generally lean towards Classical and alternative rock although, due to a bad sense of balance and a poor instinct for self-preservation, I tend to find myself falling into all manner of musical genres.
Everything. I refuse to close myself from any form of music. I may hate it at first, but I tell myself, "people like this music, it must appeal to them in someway". So that's what I do, I listen to all genres of music. Even if it had to be acquired, I'll still enjoy it in the end.

I enjoy alternative, electronic, trip-hop, industrial rock, gothic rock, indie, classical (personal favorite), metal, grunge, shoegazing, progressive rock and others that i cant think right now.
