Heres the problem. I want to play something I know how to play on my Tenor Saxophone, on my guitar.

I understand the Tenor Sax is in the key of Bb and that the guitar is in Concert key.

How many steps up or down to I make each note so I can play it on guitar?

I play tenor sax, too! I kinda had to teach myself how to transpose. Here goes:

From the tenor sax, concert pitch is always one whole step below the note played on the tenor sax. Example: If you play a C on a tenor sax, you will have to play a Bb on the guitar to get the same pitch.
