Oh yes yes. Great band. So proud to have them originate in my country
 That's what the Canadian bro said. :P Anyway, I recommend alternative rock bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M., Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Pearl Jam(the Ten album), Stone Temple Pilots, Days of the New, Collective Soul, and Incubus(Make Yourself album).Nickelback is awesome.auron_16if you're going to listen to Nickelback, instead you could just shove red-hot iron rods into your eardrums and cut out the middle man

TC, I've got just the music for you.

Darkspace is cool stuff, but to be honest I've always been a little frightened to listen to a full album of theirs

It's worth listening to the entirety of Dark Space III in the dark. :)[QUOTE="RobboElRobbo"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"]TC, I've got just the music for you.

It's worth listening to the entirety of Dark Space III in the dark. :)Yeah, wouldn't doubt that. The album basically sounds like darkness
Try listening to a new language:
Kent - Romeo återvänder ensam(Romeo Return Alone)
Rammstein - Links 2 3 4(bad sound quality) Lyrics with translation
Old classic rock? Is that like 1950's stuff or what? Not sure what to compare that to. I'll just link a mix of stuff but it won't be 1950's stuff if your into that kind of thing.
Shiny Toy Guns: Girls Le Disko- You are the one
Röyksopp: You Don't Have A Clue
The Cooper Temple Clause : Let's Kill Music
Grendal - Interrogation Leash

Good to hear :). Surprises me that people from Gamespot enjoys Darkspace. That band scares everyone else away. :PSome of my favorites are Oceansize, The Reign of Kindo, Dead Letter Circus, Scar Symmetry, Hephystus, Incura, Angels and Airwaves, and The Dear Hunter.
There is a huge spectrum of genres so I'm sure you'll find one you like.
Work your way into Iron Maiden, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage, Queensryche and Metallica. From there go to Kamelot, Dark Moor, Nightwish, and Northern Kings is fun for classic rock remakes (their cover of Don't Stop Believin' is halirously blasphemous, but incredibly awesome).

Good to hear :). Surprises me that people from Gamespot enjoys Darkspace. That band scares everyone else away. :PIt's metal with balls, and without emphasis on the guitarist going "Look how fast I can play, Look how great I am!" nor does it emphasise on the focus of the growling lyrics, but uses them more for ambiance. I like it, at least that track anyway not heard anything else from them yet.

See, Darkspace is good and all, but I would get bored of them so fast.[QUOTE="Evil_Saluki"][QUOTE="KHAndAnime"] Good to hear :). Surprises me that people from Gamespot enjoys Darkspace. That band scares everyone else away. :P-Tish-

See, Darkspace is good and all, but I would get bored of them so fast. I've been listening to Darkspace III (the album) consistently for over a year. I know this because I wanted to put it down in that "Your Album of 2010" thread, but after checking Last.FM, and I was surprised to see it was November last year. Hasn't felt that long at all. I don't know how you could get bored of this band, gets better for me with each listen.Because I am sleep deprived and bored miserable I'm just gonna dump a bunch of music that I hope people will listen to.

But darkness is the relative absence of visible light. How can it have a sound. =| :PGive Why? a listen. They're a little...different...but they're on of my favorites and I don't run into many people that listen to them. I like them so much that Im going to post the link to ANOTHER one of their songs. The **** vary quite a bit, even on the same albums.
Also:
Flaming Lips if you're feeling a little 90's psych rock.
TV on the Radio if you wanna chill.
Daughters if you want metal.
People Under the Stairs for rap leaning oldschool.
