I listened to ClassicRock first. Loved it. I moved on to Blues. Loved it. Moved on to country. Only liked Johnny Cash. Moved on to Mexican Music (The older traditional). Loved it. Moved on to modern or popularmusic(Anything from Rap to Hip-Hop to Rock. Loved some of it, but it was too difficult for me to find music I like amoungst all the boredom. Moved on to Folk. Loved it. Moved on to Jazz. Loved it. Moved on to Classical, which has stuck the best out of all the genres I listed. It's now my favorite genre of all.
I recommend Classical music. In particular, Claude Debussy.
Oh yeah I found this site that has all types of user made music:

Covers just about all genres and actually has some pretty good sounding music. Check out some of the metal stuff, I think you guys would like it. I will admit though a lot of the music does suck lol.

I like how a thread asking for something new instantly gets filled with pretentious classic rockers.
Last album I picked up was Paradise Lost by SymphonyX, pretty good. Speaking of pretentious, you could also check out Systematic Chaos by Dream Theater. Not their best work, but it's new.syztem
Nice ;)
And yes, Systematic Chaos is definately not their best.
Ænima - Tool

Kasabian.
If you want to go into subgenres try a listen of Sonata Arctica (metal. a few fans off of their site call them Dream Metal)
DFan17902
They're Power Metal. :)
I actually took the liberty on the site to call them Progressive Melodic Power Metal. I even explained why in a "What Genre is SA in?" thread.[QUOTE="wrlyy"]Spooooooooooooooooooooon.SpiritEmu

Not really taking a side but I think a lot of ****c rockers miss the sound, and don't like the evolution of rock. But a lot still shut out bands like Wolfmother who are trying to revive that sound. (Don't like Wolfmother but just trying to give some examples)
I haven't heard of these people before yesterday: The Cribs. Buy their album.
Also try The Dead 60s, Steriogram, and Supergroove(Traction. Do not buy BackSpacer.).
For you guys making the long lists; can't you just use commas? That way we don't have to scroll down as much. Or atleast press Shift+Enter so that the lists aren't double-spacedDejaVu72No. Then they are harder to read.
