Just curious how many musicians there are out here on GameSpot. I play several different instruments: piano, alto/tenor/baritone saxophones, guitar, cornet, and baritone. How about you guys? Anybody in marching band/drum corp?

I mainly play electric and acoustic guitar, but I also play the bass and mandolin. Right now Im majoring in music production.

AWESOME! I want to major in music when I get out of high school. I'm not sure what area yet, though. There are so many things I love about it. I thought about being a music teacher, but I honestly don't think I could picture myself doing that. Not because I wouldn't want to, but because I would just flat out suck at it. :)

Self-taught (still learning) on guitar and drums (which means I stink). I prefer the drums, but I can't stand electronic drumsets so I have done the neighbors a favor and concentrated on guitar.

Well, I live in Indiana. I'm probably going to go somewhere close to home. It really scares the crap out of me to think about going to ANY college right now. I'm a junior in high school and SHOULD be thinking about that stuff, but I'm not yet. I'm really nervous about facing the real world after graduation...

i can only play hardcore type stuff on drums...like breakdowns and 2-step....which basically means im terrible on the drums

Composition is another thing I've thought about. I don't think I'm creative enough to do it, though. Arranging is fun, though. I wouldn't mind doing THAT full time!

Thats awesome. I thought about going to Berklee for a while, but it is too expensive for me without a scolarship. Right now im going to Belmont.

Guitar,

Bass,

Mandolin,

Sitar,

Keyboard (a bit),

Vocals.

EDIT: I am also a composer and a local session musician if that is anything worth mentioning.
