What are some?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
My list is:
Grateful Dead
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix (including The Experience, obviously)
Pink Floyd (pity they haven't release very much live material)
Eric Clapton
Cream
Derek and the Dominos
Country Joe and the Fish
The Band
Albert King
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Canned Heat
The Doors
Jeff Beck
The Kinks
Lynyrd Skynyrd
The Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Queen
Santana
The Who
The Yardbirds
Those are the bands I find are WAY better live (I usually don't even bother with their studio crap, especially with Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin).
Muse always gives a damn good performance
Beyoncé always tries hard on her shows, as well.
Also, Amy Winehouse always sounds unique in every single one of her performances.
Senses Fail
Underoath
Winds of Plague
Emmure
Arsonists Get All the Girls
A Day to Remember
The Devil Wears Prada
At The Throne of Judgment
Underneath the Gun
The Used
Taking Back Sunday
seen all of em
Nine Inch Nails, There Shows Are An Experience Lke No Other... Best Live Show Ever!
Rush is great Live To
I've heard Nine Inch Nails are. Never seen them live, but I just ordered the Beside You In Time DVD :) Muse are better live too.DrSponge
For being a band that's so electronic, Nine Inch Nails put on one of the best shows out there. And Beside You in Time is just complete sensory overload. The lighting and stage set up is a amazing. But that doesn't even touch on how great they sound.
As for Muse, I don't think it's possible for them to sound any worse than they do on their albums. :P

Hmm, I'm starting to think I should have got the Blu-ray version instead of the ordinary DVD.completely agreed, such an amazing show. They luckily come around here a lot.Trans-Siberian Orchestra is simply amazing live.

I watched the entire thing on Youtube and I'll stand by what I said. So DVD should be fine. :P

Buy it now :x I found out how fun online shopping is today :lol:Buy it now :x I found out how fun online shopping is today :lol:DrSponge
I love online shopping. Really, if Amazon were a person, I'd marry it. :P And I'm working on getting all of Trent's albums before his DVD's. I just got myself a copy of The Downward Spiral, actually.
Better live? LIke in the studio they are terrible?LJS9502_basic
Like as in, you'd rather listen to a live recording than a studio album.

I'd rather listen to both if I like the band....and not live or studio if I don't.:?Better live? LIke in the studio they are terrible?LJS9502_basic

I want all of them, but I'm not really that willing to pay for all the singles and remix albums. Though I'll probably do it because I'm a collector.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]Better live? LIke in the studio they are terrible?Dark_Knight6

That shouldn't be possible.I want all of them, but I'm not really that willing to pay for all the singles and remix albums. Though I'll probably do it because I'm a collector.DrSponge
Those are my lowest priority. Right now, I just want to get a physical copy of all of his actual albums. Then I want anything live. And then all the remixes. :P
That shouldn't be possible.
LJS9502_basic
Why not? Nine Inch Nails did just that and then some when I saw them.

No...you enjoyed the music live better. But the studio versions should not be lacking unless they have crap producers. Why not? Nine Inch Nails did just that and then some when I saw them.

Hmm, if it's so rare then why is it only $10? :? No idea why it was going for 75 pounds when I saw it. I can't find the page to show you as well :?No...you enjoyed the music live better. But the studio versions should not be lacking unless they have crap producers.

Obviously.
The studio versions weren't lacking. But changes are made to a song when it's played live. In the case of Nine Inch Nails, all of the songs sounded more energetic and full. And overall, better than their studio counterparts.

I'm going to take that as the production is lacking.....>__>Please Log In to post.
