What is your favorite music genre and song?

Mine is Hard Rock especially metal and song is "No One Knows" by Queens of the Stone Age

Metal for me.

I tend to listen to nearly all kinds of metal, but I'd say Power Metal, Doom Metal and viking metal are my favourites.

Nu metal (stuff like Korn, Slipknot and Limp Bizkit) makes me sick however.

Favourite bands would be:

Power Metal: Blind Guardian

Doom Metal: My Dying Bride

Viking metal: Amon Amarth

Therion is also one of mly favourite bands, but I'm not sure how to categorize them :p

Viking metal: Einherjer, Amon Amarth, Enslaved, Tyr, XIV Dark centuries, Borknagar, Ensiferum and some Bathory

Rock/Alternative/Punk/Ska...things of that nature. :) Can't really choose a song. I like "Sell Out" by Reel Big Fish. ^_^GameFreak315

I guess right at this moment my favourite song is "London Calling" by The Clash.

I listen to most everything except for rap / hip-hop. No way can I pick a favorite.

EDIT: Oh, and I can't stand 99.9% of country, but I love Johnny Cash.

Alternative and Punk.... Stuff like The Wipers or Pere Ubu.

My favorite song is "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" by The Smiths or "Turnover" by Fugazi.

Metalcore, Deathcore, melodic death metal and Death metal. Examples of bands from each genre:

Bleeding Through, Despised Icon, In Flames, Decapitated.

I listen to anything from metal to rock to some funk to industrial to techno.

I love many forms of music, Indie stuff, Jazz, Classical, Metal, Hip hop, Pop, Rock, Punk, even downright bizarre experimental stuff.

My favorite artists at the moment are probably; Sleater Kinney, Regina Spektor, John Zorn, Miles Davis, Tom Waits, Fiona Apple, Pixies, Blonde Redhead, Diablo Swing Orchestra and Porcupine Tree.

My favorite song at the moment is Mode D, E, F... by Charles Mingus.
