It is Idolatry that Muslims are against though the way to treat Hindus had been discussed some centuries ago. The ministers of those ages actually chose to leave them alone and in fact set a good relation between them but the kings wanting their valuable artifacts and Idols would disagree and thus attacked India a couple of times. I say those Muslims are kind of blinded to the matter.
